Reotemp 16 Inch Fahrenheit Backyard Compost Thermometer with Digital Composting Guide

We are new at composting so I checked reviews online and this one was highly recommended and the price was competitive. So far so good. It's easy to read.

Works well

For the price, this is steal. It functions well and is well built (the hermetically sealed dial is a must). These analog thermometers are basic, simple devices; most composters probably don't need a more expensive model.

Bought to keep an eye on the bale temperatures after harvesting as moist bales can cause bale fires (and barn loss). Accurate enough for this use, but would have liked a slightly more sturdy and pointed probe for bale insertion. Dial not that easy to read for older eyes.

MY HUSBAND AND I HAVE A COMPOST PILE IN THE BACKYARD. WE WANT TO REFRESH OUR SOIL FOR PLANTING NEXT SPRING. THIS REOTEMP IS VERY USEFUL IN KEEPING THE TEMPERATURE REGULATED.

I have been composting for a few years now and I use the compost for all of my planting needs. My plants love it. I came across this product and decided to try it. I love watching the temperature gage go higher and higher letting me know that my Compost is heating up and that next year's plants will be so happy. I recommend this product.

Has helped me manage when to turn my 6x6x4 foot compost pile and avoid big pockets of visible actinobacteria. It’s a good length x $$ compromise…. Could not justify the Pro version for my humble pile

I Wish I had one of these when I started composting. So helpful,l. Now I know when to turn my pile for greatest efficiency.This os built well. Can leave it out in the sun or rain. (I will remove it in winter of course). It reaches well into the core of my pile (pallet bin). Well worth it!
