Is there a way to clean inside? soaked in bleach solution, still dirty

Mine hasn't gotten dirty, but some floating pool toys do get a brownish bath tub ring. Brush and soapy water has worked for that.

I just looked mine over, and there is no maker marked on the product.

Does this come with a string attached to thermometer?

Yes they do include a short rope that you tie onto the thermometer
