Worth a second look.
I use the job site blower almost daily and am impressed with the balance, light weight, and ease of use. This blower is best for small to medium tasks like decks, sidewalks, and garages. Other outdoor uses are probably only limited by the user’s imagination. I use mine on the tractor, mowers, log splitter and dump trailer. Though not intended for such purposes I have also used it effectively to coax a damp burn pile to life. The benefit of owning Dewalt battery-powered products is the ability to swap battery packs from other Dewalt 20v tools when the need arises. The supplied 4.0 ah battery lasts a good while and is helped by the variable-speed trigger and three-stage (low-medium-high) power switch on the handle. I have also used 5.0 ah Dewalt batteries for increased runtime but seldom find the need to do so; the supplied battery works well. One user criticized the placement of the tool’s (left side) air intake because loose clothing would impede airflow, but I have not found that problematic; I simply changed to my left hand to carry on with the task on those rare occasions. This tool does not have the power of my backpack gas-powered blower but then again, it was never intended to compete with one. If you are seeking an efficient battery-powered blower that is well-balanced and comfortable to operate then look no more; this will likely meet your needs.

Remember that it is three speed.
I was about to send this back, until I remembered it is three speed. It works a lot better on 3! This is not as powerful as my gas blower. So it's a bit slower, but mostly does the job. With the included 4amp battery, I blew a heavy layer of leaves and pine needles into an easy to pickup row on the driveway. Then got the deck and the front walk. After that, it got a bit weak, so I switched to an 8amp battery from my DeWalt saw, and got the rest of the walk, and the many trails around my 2/3 acre lot. Compared to the gas blower, it was slower, got bogged down a little were the leaves were super heavy, was super light weight, and far easier on my damaged shoulder. Both because of the light weight and not having to pull the cord. Overall a win--I'll use it more often that the gas blower.

DeWalt Quality a plus
Blowing capacity is great especially with dual speed controls. Noise levels are lower than I expected.Quality is great, just like all my other DeWalt tools

My favorite tool: Very handy!
As a small, older woman, weight and maneuverability are important to me. I love this compact leaf blower! It works well for keeping my deck and outdoor steps clear of leaves, and it t is effective at moving leaves that haven’t accumulated thickly. I like it so much I ordered another as a gift.

An Excellent Tool
I am very pleased with this blower. I was able to clean out two one-car garages, each with a floor-full of fall leaves and dust, on a single battery charge. It is powerful, lightweight and easy to handle. You'll enjoy using this tool a lot more if you rig up a shoulder sling for it. You won't need to pick it up and put it down every time you need both hands to open a door or move something. I used an old luggage carrying strap, with one end clipped to the handguard and the other wrapped around the barrel. But even if it's just an old piece of clothesline, a sling will save you lots of time, and lots of wear and tear on the tool.

lightweight, powerful and handy
I wish I’d bought this sooner. I’ve been using a corded blower forever and while I still like having that for really big jobs this one gets used most often. I use it to blow out my garage and front porch frequently and it's even good for my fairly large patio. Goodbye broom! I also use it to blow up inflatable pool toys and loungers. It's really handy and surprisingly powerful for being so small and light. Yes your pants might get suctioned depending on how you hold it but I switch arms a lot anyways. I haven't tested the run time but most of my usage is ten minutes or less. It charges quickly. This thing’s been a game changer for me.

Powerful
I love this little blower. I call it my "toy." I keep it in the house and use it frequently to - blow off the deck and porches, blow the leaves out that are stuck down in the car's windshield AND blow the leaves out of some low hanging rain gutters. I use it full blast. Battery maybe lasts 20 minutes or more? My husband laughs that I am so happy with my new "toy." With this and my dust buster, I'm good to go! (We live in CT and I'm 66.)
