A non-romantic question for those over the age of 30: Have you ever made a friend that you just got along with right off the bat, and you wish you’d met them earlier in life? That’s how you’ll feel about Oncidium Twinkle! This is an orchid that you wish you’d met earlier, and whose company you’d enjoyed for much longer. It is such a friendly, pleasant orchid to grow, and when it blooms, it can easily hold its own against more showy (or pricey!) orchids. Unlike certain plants in a collection that demand your attention (because they're so rare, expensive, showy, hard to bloom, etc.), Onc. Twinkle, like a good friend, is always there for you. Here are some of the excellent qualities of this unpretentioius, friendly orchid: 1) Very easy to grow, not fussy 2) Multiple bloomings per year (on a larger plant) 3)Outrageous number of flowers (on a larger plant) 4) Very fragrant (some varieties are chocolate-scented!) 5) Miniature, perfect for windowsill, or if your windowsill is already packed, you can grow this on a hanging mount! 6) Tolerant of cool to warm conditions. PLEASE NOTE: Plants are NOT IN BLOOM when shipped. These are established seedling-size plants with one or two growths, and great root systems. They are about one year from reaching blooming size. Please examine the photos carefully to get a sense of the size of the plant you’ll be receiving; there is a size reference (pen or coin) in the picture. Some plants may have leaf ends trimmed (if the ends have dried out, which is a common occurrence with this orchid). Plants will be shipped potted up in 2.25” square pots.

Lovely plants and great customer service
I loved the customer service at Orchid Insanity. I made my order at the end of winter and there was an option to add a heat pack. I must have chosen that option without realizing. Before shipping my order they emailed me asking if I really wanted the heat pack because it was only going from California to Arizona it wasn't necessary. I was offered the choice of a refund or another orchid instead of the $2 heat pack I had accidentally added. Since it was not their fault I had added the heat pack and they were gracious enough to offer a refund or an additional plant, I gave them the choice of action. They decided to send me an additional plant which turned out to be the Twinkle 'Fragrance fantasy'. The shipping was fast and the plants were packaged well. The plant I had originally ordered, 'pink profusion', I will admit wasn't in the best shape. It was as advertised, a small seedling. It does have healthy roots but the largest psuedo bulb on it is completely flat. This is my one and only complaint. It is however doing well in my care. The psuedo bulb hasn't plumped back up but it is working on a new growth and seems to be healthy otherwise. The bonus plant, 'fragrance fantasy' is also a small seedling, has healthy roots and two robust little psuedo bulbs. It looks absolutely lovely.With the amazing customer service I've already received I'm confident that had I wanted a replacement or refund for my original order I would absolutely get one without a fight. Being a somewhat experienced grower I don't think it's necessary to ask because despite the flat psuedo bulb the plant is thriving. For the price offered, I think I got more than I paid for and I'm more than happy with my order and the amazing customer service. Thank you!

Beautiful plant
It may be little, but this one looks like a strong grower and was happy to be out of shipping and watered. Great communication with the company, great packaging, great shipping. Plant looks amazingly healthy and even has a bloom stalk getting ready I think! I'll order from them again for sure.

A bit concerned. It is so tiny! It is described though as “true miniature orchid”, so I hope this guy is actually mature plant. Will post some updates.

Healthy Miniature Oncidium Orchid
The little orchid arrived in a 2.25 inch plastic pot as described and was potted in sphagnum moss. The roots were very healthy and the pseudobulbs were plump and not at all wrinkly. The plant had 4 pseudobulbs and had another one coming in. I repotted it in fresh sphagnum moss and am looking forward to seeing it bloom!And yes, this orchid is supposed to be small.

Arrived with a new growth just peaking out and perfect roots! Plant looks really healthy overall.For those concerned about the size- they twinkles bloom this size!
