Holds it all on well. Use the silicone retainer.
The RAM mount is solid and adjustable. The X grip is handy, but tends to interfere with phone controls. Be sure to deactivate certain "emergency call" features in your phone if it does this.I would not be apt to trust the spring force and soft heads of the X grip alone with the security of my phone, so I do use the silicone retention loops to make sure it doesn't go anywhere. That part is a little bit of a fuss, but for long rides it's hardly a bother. Also it doesn't interfere with a charging cable.

Incredibly simple, Incredibly Designed, Incredibly Powerful
This holder is fantastic! The design is simple, rugged and perfect for my phone. The grip it has on the phone will not allow it to budge a single bit. I have a sports car and drive like a madman at times and nothing but this has been able to keep my phone from separating from the holder and becoming a flying missile. I found it watching offroader videos and realized they ALL were using the same thing. I figured if it worked for them, it certainly would for me.It's not cheap. It's also incredibly well made and made to last. I've gone through more than 10 different devices designed to hold my phone in place and this is the ONLY one that's worked and gives me the confidence it will stay put. Then you have their ball joint design where you can use multiple adapters to make just what you like. I use this device with their super-rugged cup holder adapter and it's simply perfect. Well Done RAM!!

Nice product, though a deeper fit would be nice
I used this a whole season last year and it worked great, no problems with it damaging my phone or anything of the kind. Holds on great even at high freeway speeds and bad side road bumps. My phone has a bit of a thicker case, so it takes a second to make sure it’s in properly, and I didn’t notice it being only half in once until I was on the freeway for a few minutes. It was flopping around a bit, but the rubber had enough grip to keep me from losing my phone.

Phone Mount
Heard that vibration makes it fall out but with the rubber piece that holds four corners it feels fine. There is no suction but the x pattern in the center moves and installation was one bolt by hand.

This thing is designed for motorcycles
This thing is stinking strong. I’ve never really used a phone mount before in my life despite these last two years up here in Ohio. The roads are so rough that I’ve literally caught my phone under my rear tire in a hard braking that occurred due to the prior phone mount dropping my phone. Wish I had pics to show the carnage to that phone case, but I’m sorry to say that I was so pissed that I didn’t capture the memory to film. This ram mount absolutely blows everything else out of the water. Although I’ve only ever used six different phone mounts on my bicycle. There was one that I found at a walmart that had a rubber or silicone type of webbing that loops around each corner of the phone. But why I didn’t like that was that I really like to be able to rapidly grab my phone so I can shoot pics. This ram mount system provides that out of the box, the supplemental webbing system in tandem to the spider like leg grips. I’ve only ridden twice with the Ram, but I’ve yet to feel it’s necessary to use the webbing addition. I would guess that dirt bike riders might opt into that layer of protection, but I rarely get much over fifteen or seventeen miles per hour because my little Australian Shepard girl is ALWAYS next to me on my bike. Anyhow, long story short, if you ever come across any kind of questionable terrain under your tires regardless of your means of transportation, save yourself some time money effort and concern. Buy the ram mount system. It doesn’t come with the handlebar mount. Which requires the one inch ball to be received to the socket that it does come with. But I found one after market that’s not the name brand very easily effortlessly and quickly for like fifteen bucks. Bringing the entirety of the mounting system to sixty five dollars before tax. I’m over joyed with it and plan on buying my wifey one for her bike. Heck, I like them so much that if I find out my little brother gets into bicycling I’ll buy him one and one for his wife also. Even though I don’t care for his wife at all. Anyhow, social interaction is stressful. So I hope somebody gets a sliver help from my rambling. lol. Ciao.
