GTMax Black 3.5mm Metal Stereo Headset Handsfree Soft Gel Earbud with Microphone for Nokia 5130 XpressMusic / N97 / E63 / 5800 XpressMusic / N95 8GB

I ordered these  GTMax 3.5mm earphones with mic  from third-party Amazon marketplace seller 'UnitedIntegral' for a little over three and a half bucks. A nice buy if you don't want to spend too much - particularly if you are on the hunt for good earphones for your phone.For myself, these earphones were originally bought for a Samsung Galaxy S phone although the title description for these earphones don't say that is supported. Elsewhere, a discussion forum said that earphones for the Nokia N97 should work with the Galaxy S. The N97 is mentioned in the title description for these earphones. So for me trying something that was for the Nokia N97 was worth a try -- it's just difficult to find earphones that really-actually-for-sure-definitely work with the Galaxy S. And since these earphones were under four bucks, then any loss would be negligible. Anyways, these earphones work but not so well with the Galaxy S phone -- but comparably better than other earphones because these earbuds seem to stick a little more inside the ear and therefore you can hear a little bit better. The problem with using earphones on the Galaxy S is with the android music player on the phone. The android music player really sucks when used with any set of earphones for hearing the vocals in a song even if you fiddle around with the custom equalizer in the music player's settings. Also calls may sound too soft, but the microphone seems to be okay where the other person should be able to hear you. Using these earphones to listen to the FM Radio on the phone is okay. So, it's a plus for using the earphones for radio on the Galaxy S, but a couple minuses for the music player and calls. If you have the same phone, you can use this for the FM radio because you need the earphones' wire to act as the radio's antenna, but you may want to instead use bluetooth for the music player and calls.Surprisingly, the good news is that these earphones work with my iPhone for music and calls. No problem there. For me that makes this a successful purchase. If you read a lot of the reviews for the many different earphones here on Amazon, then you know how difficult it is to find good earphones for ANY phone. It's like hit or miss -- even if other people say it works for them but you may get a bum set of earphones. For me, that's five stars that these earphones work fine on my iPhone, BUT only one star since these earphones are problematic on the Galaxy S. So, that would be a net total of four stars.One other thing that should be mentioned about these earphones is that the wire for the left earbud is short and the wire for the right earbud is much longer. The way you are suppose to wear these earphones is to string the longer wire for the right earbud around the back of your neck. This is for when you are driving where you keep the left earbud in your ear for taking calls but that you just hang the the right earbud over your shoulder because, in most states, you are only allowed to have one earbud plugged into your ear when driving.Thanks for reading.

I've been using them for a while now and they really work well, block out all the outside noise so you can listen to everything from the phone easily.

This headset is not compatible with the Nokia E63. When plugged in, the phone will display a message stating "Accesory Not supported".

when I plugged this headset handsfree into my Nokia E63, the phone showed a message "Accesory Not supported". However the product description says it is for Nokia E63 among others... So who are the liars, Nokia or the manufacturer of these headsets...

Have tried to use this headset on four different occasions. They produce a loud buzzing sound in the ear piece, similar to background noise. You can't hear the other person talk. Unplug them partially and the buzz goes away, but then the microphone doesn't work. Would not get this handsfree set again.

The price is great.It works perfectly fine, fast and stable.Economical and practical, what more could you want?thanks

The service from provider was great and prompt. The earbuds for the price are good but not great. the sound is not that good. music sounds better when you press the button but you have to hold it
