First LiteMen's Vapor Stormlight Ultralight Rain Jacket - Waterproof Breathable Camo Hunting Coat

Used the jacket for a recent fly in caribou hunt in Alaska. Work great against the light rain however, it started pitting across where my kidney pad sat while I wore my ruck. It also rub a complete hole through where there is a little metal gromet on the inside near a pocket. Ive loved all the other First Lite products I have, this one just had some obvious durability issues, since I noticed the hole on say 4.

I took advantage of a sale, otherwise I would have a very hard time paying full retail price for rain gear...not just this jacket, but any rain jacket. Its just not a fun piece of gear to think about. I'm primarily a bow hunter and If its raining hard, I usually back out. I don't like risking losing a blood trail to rain. That being said, if I'm going to invest in rain gear...I want something I can stuff down in my pack and forget about until absoluetely needed. Thats what this jacket is. So lightweight, so packable...its not noticeable in my day pack. Its not quiet, and its not all that durable, but it will keep you dry when you need it and will breath well enough if you need to hike it out to some place dry.

Great jacket, does what it says. Not silent while moving, but very quiet. A bit pricey, so 4 stars.

Update September 2, 2021 - after 3 years the lining started falling apart due to occasional usage, rating updated to 2 stars.____________________________________________Very good rain coat. nice seal on the zipper and pockets. Great hood.I have a slim build and this jacket fits great at the shoulders. I also own the First Lite North Branch Soft Shell Jacket and the Uncompahgre Puffy Insulated Jacket both of which are noticeably wider at the shoulders than the Vapor Stormlight.

Don’t fit in the shoulders at all. I wear XL in everything and the cut was strange. Didn’t fit at all. Tight all the way around so no room for under raincoat anything.

Expensive, but is what it is as advertised.
