Blue bonnet Niacin
Was recommended slow release niacin to help lower cholesterol and after taking it for a year. I chose this brand as it came highly recommended. My doc didn't even mention my high cholesterol on my last visit, and ever filled my prescrition drug she told me to take. When I thought after a year being on it, I decided to try Kirkland's Slo Niacin as it was so much cheaper, and on the ffourth day after feeling maybe I should visit the ER, looked at my pill box and figured it was the Costco brand that made me feel like I had something wrong with my chest. Sine then I have onto nude with the Blue Bonnet brand and wih they had a larger bottle than the 180 as it would be cheaper still. But everybody's body works differently.

Beware Liver Damage!!!
I strongly recommend consulting a doctor before taking this product. This is an exceptionally large dose of niacin and may wreak havoc on your liver. I had blood work done recently and was quite shocked when the results came back showing elevated levels of the enzymes ALT and GGT, indicating possible liver damage. After doing a bit of research, I discovered that Niacin is a known culprit for causing elevated liver enzyme levels and, in serious cases, can lead to liver failure. I will be requesting follow-up blood work now that I'm off Niacin to see if my levels will return to normal (fingers crossed). Do yourself a favor take Niacin supplements only under the supervision of a competent medical professional.
