Can this unit be taken apart and put back together again, or is once its together, the connectors lock in forever?

This unit can be dismantled and reconstructed. It can take a little bit of force to take it apart, but it’s totally doable. Be warned though: mine arrived without enough connectors: they were 10 short.

I would like to know if it is sturdy or made cheaply?

Keep in mind that it is plastic but it’s definitely good quality once you figure out how to put it together ... I bought it for my dad and he breaks everything and it’s lasted

Are you able to combine two squares to make it a bigger box, so that would be 11 3/4" x2 making one big 23.5" section?

I build the 2 cubes as directed and then I cut the plastic out of the middle one for a bigger box with support needed in the middle. Hope this helps!

Where can i get extra connecters?

Contact the company and they should be able to assist you. They sent a few extras when I requested but I purchased quite a few of these.
