Q: Are most of the people shown in the imagery white? The sample images only show one non-white person, and he seems to be a villain.

If you are speaking on behalf of the sandman, he is not the villain. Otherwise it seems as if both the Boogeyman (could be considered the villain) and the fairy are both white.

Q: Can two player play this some way?

Not at all the way the game is intended. The fun of the game is deciding who who can be trusted, who can't be trusted and who is switching sides. Like most party games, this is a great with higher player counts. You could try the two-player version of Codenames. (Use Dixit cards for fun.) It's also possible to play Mysterium or Muse with two players, but again, party games are better with more.

Q: Could a group of 8-10 year olds play this solo? Or would they need an adult to help or lead?

I would say you need to play it with them a couple times first and then it could be played with just younger kids. Very fun game, just gotta teach them the rules.

Q: Is this game's replayability is bad seeing the limited amount of cards and being able to recall words (and images) played before?

I would say no. Not because of the limited words. There are 400 different words in the deck and you will not usually go through them in one sitting. And the hints that you give for words may be repeated but they will likely be with a different group if people on a separate occasion. That actual limit to the playability of this game comes from the level of participation of the group you are playing with. If people don't want to make up dreams or aren't as inventive with their strategy then the game will not be as fun... and therefore wont receive as much play
