Works for us, no startle, great quality material
We wanted something that allowed more movement for baby for a margin of safety in case baby starts to roll back to front, but baby still has an active startle reflex and abandoning those tight fitting swaddles was an intimidating idea for loss of family sleep. This is it, baby can move arms, but does not startle. We tested without swaddle and other solutions and this is the only thing that I saw that allowed movement and prevented wake up after a startle. I was nervous buying this because of reviews of bad material quality, but manufacturing must have been improved because this is the second one I bought and both survived washes on delicate cycle without any damage and there is no pealing of pattens. I was worried about the neck hole being too small, but at least for our baby, who is average weight and above average height, there is no issue with comfort or airway restriction. The material, including around the neck, is plenty stretchy even if you don’t place baby perfectly in the swaddle, by our baby has not yet managed to work hands and arms through the neck hole when awake. I’m a very happy customer. This is well worth the money to me.

I love this product so much. My 4 month old is rolling and we were looking for a transition swaddle. We tried another brand and after the 4 month sleep regression hit, the other brand wasn’t cutting it. A friend recommended this transition swaddle and it has been amazing. I have gone from getting 3 hours of a sleep a night due to my LO (little one) waking up every 45 mins, to 8-10 hours a sleep. LIFE CHANGING PRODUCT FOR SLEEP DEPRIVED PARENTS. It is so easy to use (she wears a onsie underneath), the quality is amazing and does so well in the wash, the zipper has a flap over the top so she doesn’t suck on it, and I love the pattern we chose! On top of it, I emailed the company just to make sure their products are non toxic before we ordered it (LO sticks her fingers in her mouth nonstop) and they emailed me back in less than 24 hours (their products are non toxic). I sized down just because she was in between sizes and the company recommends that so your LO won’t be swarming in it/it won’t cover her face while sleeping. Purchase it- you won’t regret it.

Swaddle Transition Success!
Y'all... I was so terrified to transition my 3 month old out of his beloved Happiest Baby swaddle. Our little guy was sleeping 10-13 hours STRAIGHT through the night but was starting to roll and work his little arms out of the swaddle and I knew we had to start the process. We started with the Nested Bean sleep sack but the poor little guy kept smacking himself in the face and still had a pretty strong moro reflex. After a few unsuccessful days of napping, I saw a lot of mentions on social media of the Zipadee. I swore this would be the last one. If this didn't work, I'd just cut him off cold turkey and doom us all to sleepless nights for a few weeks. I won't lie, the first few days were a little touch and go. He couldn't figure out how to get his hands to his mouth so he fussed and squirmed, only to fall asleep for 20 minutes max. But by the third day, he was back to his normal 30 minute naps. By the fourth, he was taking 2.5 hour naps - unheard of since he was only a few weeks old! I sit here on day 7 watching my baby nap peacefully for going on two hours. It's bliss! Not only does he seem to sleep longer, but I am discovering that he doesn't need to be soothed before naps. I used to have to rock him until he was drowsy and then try to sneak him into bed as quickly as possible. Now, it seems like he prefers to be zipped up in his sleep sack for 5-10 minutes before he falls asleep so that he can wiggle and chew on his hand a bit. Then he just goes off to sleep on his own! I would suggest to anyone trying this to follow the instructions on the card given - in other words, I wouldn't try this out at bedtime first. We got ours in the mail at 8 PM and were so excited, we thought we'd jump right in. It was wildly unsuccessful! Attempt naps first, and then phase into nighttime sleep. We did one nap a day, then two, then three, etc. I am so thrilled to have tried this sleep sack and I'm so happy that it's a safe transition from his swaddle that he absolutely loves!

Just amazing, glad I bought this instead of a Merlin suit
This sleep sack has been a wonderful addition to our second child’s nap and night time sleep routine. He was much more fidgety than our first child and I think struggled to be comfortable while swaddled. I was debating between this and the Merlin sleep suit, but these seemed more versatile being a one layer cotton fabric, they can help prevent a child from climbing out of a crib and, most importantly, being able to be used even after a child starts rolling over. Our child transitioned to these effortlessly and actually began sleeping through the night within a week or so. It’s been a week since then and he hasn’t woken up crying in the night, not even once. It’s made me wonder if this would have helped our first child sleep through the night, so my only “regret” is not buying these years ago. Also, for any concerns about the zipper bunching up in front of your child’s mouth, I have two things to say - one, pay attention to the size by length and buy appropriately, do not buy one size up. I know it’s tempting to do so to save money, but the sack won’t work right if it’s too big. Secondly, make sure their hands are placed in the top corners. If your child is too small for the sack, their hands won’t stay put in the corners and could come to the middle of the sack, which then causes it to bunch in front of their mouth.

Good transition from swaddle
My baby wouldn’t sleep without being swaddled, so when it was time to transition to sleeping with arms free this was a great middle position. It was really easy to get on and off for diaper changes, and it seemed to really help her get used to having a bit more range of motion without triggering the startle reflex. My only complaint is that the fabric really pills after a few washes, though it stays fairly soft and doesn’t get that Velcro effect like some pilled fabrics do.

Great product. My son loves it and is able to roll and sleep on his side, which makes me worry less. I will most likely purchase another. Only 4 stars because there should be a double zipper for diaper changes, but there isn't. Still easy to do, but wish there was a double.

Great for baby transiting from swaddle and can still roll and move easily in it. The small (4-8m) size is great.. I got another one thinking the med (6-12m) size I would need soon since my 6m old still likes sleeping in it, but that size is huge; I’m 5’1 and it’s like half my body length!.. I’d say it’s more for like 9-12m and I may not need it so I may have to sell it.

For the price, I was disappointed that the seams at the top of the zipper are already unravelling. It has only been washed twice and used for a week.

The item I received is clearly used. There was dried milk/food residue around the collar along with pilling. I ordered this for quick delivery as I needed it ASAP for my baby and now I have to go through the hassle of returning it and also finding another one. Save yourself the hassle and trust the posters who say this is not worth your time and hassle.
