Aluminum Free Unscented Mom (Milk of Magnesia) Deodorant

Finally something that works!!I am a 25 year old male and ever since i can remember I've worried about BO. We are talking 2-3 showers a day lots of deodorant in the pits and on the shirt I'm allergic to antiperspirant (aluminum chloride) so i had to go with whatever i could find at target or the grocery store. ok I've seriously tried EVERYTHING from hippy oils to that crystal and tons of other home remedies, nothing ever worked. i started using this product and buying it for other people who want something more natural. I know one person mentioned buying milk of magnesia at the dollar store but its not the same this is more convenient and it WORKS. I did find a certain way to use it that i think works best. after i shower i dry my underarms and put on some MOM deodorant then i use the cool seeing on my hair dryer and make sure it dries, then since i don't like unscented i use a mens body spray i got at BABW just for a nice scent you can also use other spray deodorants that match your favorite fragrances. let me tell you this lasts all day and till the next morning! i no longer have to worry about being stinky if i stay the night at a friends or go out right after work! i also have tried the scented options by MOM and they do work i just don't like how they smell personally, i like that i can use the unscented and still use something over it to smell good. Hmm. Let me start off by saying that I am a guy in late 30's, and maybe this deodorant was designed primarily for women.... but in my case it worked for the first week or so, meaning that it would eliminate armpit odors nicely (BO) but then it started failing at about 3 PM or even earlier in the day. And I mean, really failing. I'd smell like I just ran a marathon and then sat in my office for an hour -- that bad. Also keep in mind that this product can really stain your dark shirt if it comes in contact with your armpit. It leaves those nasty white marks (that can be washed off, but still a nuisance if you're on a run in the morning.)So my verdict -- this product is not for me... sorry.

Does it work? If Milk of Magnesia works for you (as it does for me), yes of course MoM works. However, it's over priced and has too many additives. You can go to Dollar General or Groger and buy 12 oz. of regular old generic Milk of Magnesia for half the price (or less!) of this product.See my question/response to the seller about the price. They claim their product is better because it doesn't contain bleach (like Phillips and other name brand MoM products), but their product contains even more preservatives and junk. On top of that, many other generic brand MoM products have only Milk of Magnesia and water. Nothing else. Yes, they work just the same.This is just a case of a pharmaceutical company taking advantage of consumer ignorance and apathy. If you are using this product to get away from aluminum and other chemicals or because you are trying to live a more natural lifestyle, just go to the dollar store and buy some good old fashioned, inexpensive Milk of Magnesia. If you want an applicator, Amazon sells roll-on bottles.

I had to reapply twice during the day after the first application in the morning. I felt like I was just a teeny bit funky by the end of the day. Now I only use it during the winter months.

As far as a fragrance-free and aluminum-free deodorant goes, this product is a great match for me. I like to look at the price as the cost you pay for choosing to use healthier products, such as is the case with buying organic/healthy food.You might sweat on some days, after all this isn't an anti-perspirant, but it handles odors all day.Be careful, on a few occasions burn a little for me, but there is nothing else that points out an allergic reaction. Just may be applying right after showering that gets that result.All in all, until I find something better, this is my go-to.

When I started using MoM deodorant a few years ago, it worked beautifully, and lasted for up to 24 hours. However, over the past year, I have had to reapply it at least once and sometimes more than once during the same period. I can't say whether the deodorant has changed or I have changed, but something has definitely changed.

This is the only deodorant I've ever had where I didn't stink by the end of the day. I was skeptical at first but now after 2 years of use I'm still going strong. I am an active male adult and applying this in the morning keeps me fresh until the end of the day. You need to apply it to clean, dry skin. That part is very important. Also, it doesn't stain your shirts like some deodorants do. I hope People's Pharmacy continues to make this for many years to come.

I actually love this product. All natural and leaves my pits smell free. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it leaves white residue even when dried which means I will not be able to wear sleeveless. Overall, I would recommend this product.
