Light, refreshing, and not sweet
This is a great healthy option if you’re looking for something low in sugar. The flavor is clean and refreshing, but it’s not sweet at all. There is a small amount of sugar, but the taste itself isn’t sweet, which I personally enjoy. That said, it’s definitely not for everyone, my husband doesn’t like it at all. If you prefer subtle, not-sweet flavors, this is a good choice.

New formula is terrible
The only good thing about this new formula is that it gave us a way to explain cost cutting and margin expansion to our children. We originally bought Sanzo for its unique flavor and no added sugars. Our daughters immediately noticed the flavor change in our most recent order and told us they thought the cans were expired. I tasted one and immediately knew it was not expired; tasted instead like cost-cutting. Will not be re-ordering.

Good low cal drink
I’ve had this lychee seltzer both before and after the formula change, and while it’s definitely different, it still tastes good. The lychee flavor is a bit lighter and more subtle now, but it keeps that clean, slightly floral note that makes it refreshing and easy to drink. The carbonation is still crisp without being too sharp, and it goes down smoothly whether you’re having it on its own or with food. If you were used to the older version, you may notice the change right away, but the updated formula feels more delicate rather than lacking—just a different take on the same flavor. I appreciate that it remains low calorie, low sugar, vegan, and gluten-free, and it still stands out from typical sparkling waters because of its unique lychee profile. It doesn’t taste artificial or overly sweet, which makes it easy to enjoy.

Still good for me
I’ve been drinking Sanzo Lychee Sparkling Water for a while, so the formula change was noticeable. The best way I’d describe it is that the flavor is more noticeable, not necessarily more “lychee-forward” in a fresh fruit sense. The taste is a bit bolder and slightly sweeter than before, which makes it feel more like a lightly sweetened sparkling drink than a barely-there seltzer. You pick up the flavor right away now, and while it doesn’t have the same delicate, floral subtlety the old version had, it’s still clean and easy to drink. Once I adjusted my expectations, I actually started to enjoy it for what it is now. It’s refreshing, not heavy, and feels satisfying when I want something with real flavor but don’t want a full soda. Ice-cold, it’s especially good. If you loved the original ultra-light profile, this will feel different. But if you’re okay with a slightly stronger, sweeter take on lychee, it’s still a solid sparkling water and one I’ll keep reaching for

Refreshing and love lychee flavor!
I picked these up because I love lychee, and they didn’t disappoint. The flavor is light and fruity without being overly sweet or artificial, which is rare for flavored sparkling water. It actually tastes like real fruit, not candy. I like that it’s more interesting than regular seltzer but still low sugar and refreshing. Definitely a drink I’ll keep on hand.

New recipe tastes horrible with artificial sweeteners. Do not recommend!
Please bring back the old lychee sanzo recipe! Just got a new pack of these and they are not the same as they used to be, they have a super artificial & weird berry flavor. They don’t taste like lychee at all. Have a 12 pack and now don’t even want them. Super disappointed :( the old lychee flavor was my favorite. Will not be buying these anymore. Additionally, the old ones only had 3 ingredients: carbonated water, lychee purée, and citric acid. No added sugar or sweeteners other than the lychee puree. The new one has the following: carbonated water, lychee juice, cane sugar, citric acid, cassava root fiber, monk fruit juice concentrate, lychee flavor. Including 4 grams of added sugar and other artificial sweeteners. I hate the taste of artificial sweeteners which is why I always enjoyed sanzo that only had the fruit puree added. Really do not recommend.

Low calorie drinks
I liked the these low calorie carbonated drinks. Lychee is my favorite and these drinks does have actual lychee taste. The ingredients says it has real lychee juice as well as lychee flavor, so I guess not 100% made from real lychee juice.

I really like these
I read all the reviews for these sparkling waters, and quite frankly, I disagree with some of them. I think that this sparkling water is actually very good and I am not a sparkling water type of person. It has a very mild taste. I’m not sure what the old version taste like, but I really like the taste of these. They are refreshing, not too bubbly and go down well. I do agree that these would be great to mix with some type of alcoholic beverage. The only thing I’m not too excited about is the price if they were a little bit cheaper, I would continue to buy them.
