Electric Pepper Grinder Salt and Pepper Mill Kitchen, Stainless Steel

i have purchased this 5 times, now; twice as gifts and 3X for myself. i am terribly disappointed in this last 5th purchase. it LOOKS the same but is not. this one is cheaply made; it collapses when you open it; it only grinds fine and is really slow. i used to love this product, but will NEVER buy it again; i think it may be a rip-off. i'm sorry it ends here because it used to be a great kitchen tool

Beautiful design. Well made grinder with snap-on base caps.What I found most impressive was the seller's customer care. I was sent an e-mail a week prior to delivery with tips and FAQ's related to care and use. These included detailed instructions for battery installation as well as cleaning and storage tips. I would rate this grinder a 10 star item if I could. The lighted base is bright, the mechanism is sturdy, ceramic so as to prevent rust. It handles a fine to course grind easily.I would highly recommend the unit AND the seller!!!2/26/15 .....I have to rewrite a review. My grinders BOTH failed within days of each other. Since they are under warranty, I contacted Mike at AD. Although it took a bit of time to get things straight, to my great pleasure I have received 2 new grinders free. i will hope that these 2 make the year..... they work beautifully and are attractive to display. I truly LOVE them....

UPDATE 8/2016: I loved this pepper mill for the reasons below. It worked great for nearly two years, then broke. I contacted the company about their warrantee for replacement, repair, even a discount on a new one--no response. I tried emailing them twice, tried their website, tried their Facebook page. Nothing.It's not an expensive device...but don't offer a warrantee if you have no intention of honoring it. and don't say your pepper mill "is made to last for years" if you're not ready to back up that claim. Pathetic.Very happy with this purchase so far. Had it for about two months now and use it all the time. It has A large chamber to hold pepper, which is a big plus since many pepper mills only hold a few peppercorns. Powerful and fast. The light is s plus. The customer follow up after the sale was amazing. They really take care of their customers!

The items came on time and perfectly packaged. I immediately unpackaged them (I bought 2 - one for pepper and one for salt, I use Himilayan large crystal salt) and wanted to try them. This was mainly because some reviews I had read complained about the items being damaged or not working. I put in the batteries (a lot of batteries - 6 AAA - for each mill!) and gave them a spin. They both worked fine. I filled them both with salt and pepper respectively, tried each again, and then put them where they would display (they are actually very attractive grinders). I'm more of a pepper user than a salt user, so I used the pepper mill quite a few times before using the salt one again. 4 or 5 days later I was going to use them both for something. Damn if the salt one didn't work. The light came on, but the grinder - nothing! Not even a whimper or whine to let me know it was at least trying to grind the salt. After checking batteries and making sure the battery compartment was clean, and making sure all the connections seemed ok - I still got nothing, then, I emptied out the grinder - still nothing! I contacted Amazon and got a return label created. a couple days later I was gertting around to packaging it up for return, when on a whim, I decided to try it again. It worked! That was about 2 weeks ago. I refilled it and it's still working fine - as I had originally hoped. I entertained the thought that I should still return it because that seemed kind of wonky, but I'm keeping it. I just love the ease of using it (I have an arthritic thumb) and the way it dispenses the salt and pepper.I highly recommend this mill/grinder, but couldn't give it 5 stars because of the issue I had. If you get one- - don't give up one it!

We've been very happy with this grinder so far. I wanted it to grind rock salt, which has been the death of more than one grinder in the past. This one grinds easily and perfectly. Also, the company who sells it has great customer service and is easy to contact. All in all, I've been impressed.Update: After using this grinder for several months, I've decided to replace it. The pepper constantly got stuck in the grinder, no matter what size I set it on. So to use it as a pepper grinder, I would have to constantly turn it upside down while pressing the button to get it to grind for a second or two, and then repeat the process over and over to get any pepper out. The one I used for salt started slowing down more and more, even with new batteries in it. Eventually, I could barely get any salt out of it at all. I've since replaced both grinders with another brand that works much better so far and holds much more salt or pepper.

This is a decent grinder if you're able to find batteries at a very low cost as you will need ***many***. This requires 6 AAA batteries. Typical battery costs are around $0.50/battery, or $3 for six. I estimate that 6 batteries will last long enough to grind about 8 tablespoons (1/2 cup) of pepper. If you cook a lot, you'll go through batteries quickly.
