Although there are a number of natural remedies for coughs and colds this is a good alternative as it is more gentle on the throat. Many natural remedies require ginger and that spice can be quite rough even though it is a very good natural antiseptic. With the blackcurrant flavour the kids like it as it acquired to their tastes so there's no fuss when they take this cough remedy. The only downside with this type of remedy is that it can't be taken as and when needed. With natural remedies one can take as much as one needs and as often as one needs, even if it is every 15 minutes as natural remedies don't contain any form of drug that makes it unsafe to use more than once every four hours. Tickly coughs are the worst as one does need relief more often than the maximum of once per four hours so for that type of cough one can use this and additionally use natural remedies alongside this product to keep the tickliness at bay. Overall this is a good product that we have been using for a few years now. It is good quality and good value so I am recommending it. However, I do advise that natural remedies are used with it so the kids are much more comfortable.
