Why my opinion matters: I've been passionately into mountain biking for about 20 years. I've traveled the world to bike, ridden about every kind of trail, and had about every kind of wreck. , and have tried about every kind of armor. Now my two kids are into the sport and I strive to spare them some of my injuries.Summary: This is reasonably good protection meant for mid level extreme riding. I'd want a little more protection for the ski lifts though.Pros:- light- loose fit allows air flow- hard plastic affords good protection- attractive lookCons:- doesn't cover lower ribs or lower spine- inadequate shoulder protectionConclusion:The combination of good looks and loose fit means that my son will actually wear it. That makes them better than even the best protection that just sits in the garage.

I use it on my road bike as a cyclist. Most don’t wear this type of thing, but I don’t like the idea of someone opening a car door and taking me out accidentally. I recently had a dead tree fall in front of me hitting me chest first. It threw me off the bike. I slid in the gravel a few feet after landing on my left knee and then bouncing on my left arm. I had knee pads and elbow pads as well. I ended up with a bruise on the side of my leg and a small cut on my ankle. It would have been much worse with broken bones for sure. I just got up and kept riding. Wear this stuff people. It’s worth it. This particular roost is really comfortable and easy to take on and off.

I'm a big guy and have trouble finding riding gear that fits. The packaging says that this in size large is good to 6'6" and 280lbs. I exceed the weight and it still fits. Breathes well and protects you from the dangers of the trail.

runs a little on the small side. It does fit my boy that is 5'0" and 115lbs.

What do you expect from Fox great quality that's what you get
