High quality grille material.
Worked great to make a custom DIY grille for my car! I bought this to prevent rocks from coming through my grill and damaging in the AC condenser. Cut it to shape with some wire snips, and used heavy duty black zip ties and heavy gauge aluminum wire to secure it in place. Looks like it came that way from the factory. Definitely recommend!

WOULD BUY AGAIN!
Protection:This will protect my oil cooler plus let cold air in.Color match:The color black looks good on the chrome. This going on a 1980 EL CAMINO I cut a hole in the bumper for more air.Size:This was a great size for the hole I cut.Look:I feel it looks good.Value for money:Well worth the money.

Great basic mesh grill
Easy to work with. Pretty sturdy. Just have to be handy and resourceful when it comes to application. The only down side is the coating/paint already started chipping after the first day of driving. Not necessarily a problem as long as it does the job protecting the inside from rock/debris. Huge difference with the temperature also. Better airflow.

Malleable yet strong
The mesh is strong yet malleable. I cut straps to put over gaps on my cars front bumper. Works great!

Stiff, but easy to cut and looks factory if done right!
Very nice, stiff protective screening for my radiator, oil cooler and air conditioning cooler. People on the Santa Cruz forum were complaining that when a rock hit any of the above it was a $1,800 replacement cost that was not covered under warranty. So at the recommendation of others I got 2 sheets of this in the 4x8 rhombic size. I didn't install it like others, zip tying it either on the outside or the inside of the grill like so many others. I'm not doing that to $40,000 new car! I watched a YouTube video on how to take the front end with installed grills off my car. being very careful it took me 45 minutes and the whole front end was laying on the grass in front of the car. It was then very easy, with regular scissors, to cut the screening to fit the back side of the grill. I left tabs on the screen where I saw screws on the back side that held grill in place. I then back the screws out one by one and screed them back in first through the screen tab then back in the hole holding the grill in place. That held the screening in place against the back of the grill. Start to finish, in my driveway, It took me 4 hours, which was well worth it, to get a factory looking job. The tools I used to do this were a small flathead screwdriver for the plastic pop fasteners, a 10 mm socket for the eight bolts, a pair of scissors for cutting the screen and a Phillips head screwdriver for attaching it to the existing screws holding the grill in place.I did have some concern when I finished because it looked so beautifully black with very little silver aluminum radiator showing, that maybe too much of the airflow would be blocked by the screening... I can tell you that this is absolutely NOT the case! We've had heat indexes over 105 degrees the last few days and I've driven the car around town, on the highway and sat in it parked on a blacktop parking lot with the air conditioning running for over an hour and the engine temperature gauge is exactly where it has always been, just a hair under mid-range. I have not seen the slightest change!

Difficult to make flat.
Should be obvious that this comes in a roll. What might not be Otis how difficult it is to make it flat.

I made a custom radiator guard out of this.
I have a Yamaha Tenere 700. Rather than spend a couple hundred bucks on a nice aftermarket radiator guard that honestly, wouldn't add much protection due to brand logo cuts and whatnot, I opted to make my own.I bought some brake-line hose and this. I measured and cut some brake line hose lengthwise into four pieces. I measured and cut a portion of this stuff. Fit it inside the brake line and zip tied it together, then ziptied it to the stock radiator guard.Been using it for over a year and it seems to allow adequate airflow while protecting from small to medium rocks that may kick up, along with large insects and other road debris.
