Great Shield! Yes, it's clear! Has protective sheets on EACH SIDE.
This is a great, lightweight, economical face shield. I found it to be *surprisingly* comfortable after I adjusted the fit to my head. It had a normal "hat band" that wraps around your head horizontally and a half band that wraps around the top of your head (prevents the whole thing from falling down into your eyes). It looks like the shield easily pops out of the band and is user-replaceable. Whether or not a replacement exists is another question.Yes, the shield is clear. There is protective sheeting on BOTH SIDES. The sheets are hard to remove and cut to the shield's edge perfectly, but once you remove it, you have a completely transparent shield! For well, well under $10, it's a steal. Enjoy! All PROS, no CONS.

Protects the face
Works well just wish I would have went with the ratchet style size adjustment. Keeps debris from hitting you in the face when grinding. Still recommend the ratchet style over the sizing adjustment of this one

This is the face mask you need and it does not fog up because it is not placed against her face
At work I am known as the guy who wears a shields My job is not necessarily a welders job but an outside in all of the elements job rain snow sleet whatever and this shield protects me and gives me the flexibility of lifting it and pulling it down I apply a anti-water solution on the face shield and it serves its jobs it's very good and very useful in my outside job and activities

Does not come assembled and is difficult to put together
I thought the mask was fine - however, it is kind of hard to put together - the shield didn't fit on the posts easily and required a lot of finger strength to snap into place. I think this would be hard to do for someone with arthritis or other issues.I wrote this review and received an email from the company saying:"Please in the future give the seller a chance to make things right before leaving anything besides a positive feedback, I think we deserve that just as much as you deserve to get what you excepted (sic) to receive for the price you paid for an item."However, I feel that actual feedback should be given. The mask doesn't come put together as in the picture, you have to assemble it and the shield is hard to attach to the mask, it doesn't fit easily, I responded to them to let them know this.I just got a response from the company - I thought it is very telling about the type of merchant they are:------------- Begin message -------------Whatever - I'm over 70 and I don't have a problem putting it togetherThey actually said that. This is an example of their customer service.

works great
I use this at work as a dental assistant, the adjustable straps make for a comfy fit and the little foam strip works ok as padding on the forehead. I find the shield offers full face protection while being light enough that I quickly adjusted too it's weight and no longer notice anymore. Maybe it's because I wear prescription lenses and find regular safety glasses over top of those to be uncomfortable, but this is a great option and by far the best one I've encountered providing even more safety then the typical safety glasses.

Limited usefulness. Non-standard shield.
I bought this just to try it, and can not use it for metalworking. The shield is a full inch shorter than a standard Sperian type shield 3M AO Safety/3M Tekk 90028 Professional Faceshield, and even they don't really keep particles from coming up from underneath. So for preventing straight on flying debris, this one is adequate. But not much more. The real deal-breaker is that the shield attaches to the mask in a proprietary way. So you can't buy a handful of standard shields to replace it. Nor did I see any on Amazon. You drop it, scratch it, and you have to throw the whole thing away.It is light and comfortable to wear. The shield is very thin compared to Sperian type masks. I would not consider it high-impact resistant. So I don't recommend this one for much of anything, except maybe the reviewer that rides a scooter in winter. Even then, their are better masks out there for a few dollars more.I just splurged on this oneSperian Protection S8500 Bionic Face Shield, which really comes down and covers your chin area. And it's surprisingly light. That may be more than you want to pay, but I bet eye surgery can run into some big bucks.
