I use this fish hideaway in an Aqueon MiniBow 1 aquarium for five small goldfish. It's small. The simulated cave, consequently, helps to destress them. Mine began to explore it about two hours after they were put in the tank. Goldfish grow, tear up plants, and get messy (AKA They poop a lot). Large tanks are suggested. This setup uses a water filter and an air stone to compensate. Later, a timer for the LED light will lower the risk for algae buildup. Find a design that looks good and works for your aquarium. The hideaway will be worth the investment.

I added this SpringSmart hideaway rock cave to my 10‑gallon aquarium and have been really happy with it overall. The ceramic construction looks like natural stone and blends nicely with the other decorations — it doesn’t stand out like cheap plastic decor. The surface feels smooth and safe, with no sharp edges to worry about my fish’s fins, which is exactly what you want in a tank ornament.  My Betta and a few guppies love it — they swim in and out, rest inside, and seem pretty comfortable using it as a hideout. It provides just enough shelter to give timid fish a sense of security without taking up too much room. The size works well in small to medium tanks; I’ve got it near some plants and it doesn’t crowd the space.  Cleaning is easy — just a quick rinse with tank water — and I like that the ceramic won’t affect water quality. One small thing: it is on the smaller side, so if you have big fish (or want more hideouts), you might consider adding a couple of these or pairing them with other decorations. 

I like the fact that it has two big holes. Love that it's natural looking.

I received these today on time and without any issues. It look well made with some noticeable weight. Worth the money I spent. Safe for fish. Great addition to my 55 gallon fish aquarium.

Very cute! No rough edges and well made. My grandson's african dwarf frogs took to it immediately as their sleep pod and play room. Highly recommend! Update: Had it about a week and one dwarf frog became stuck underneath and almost drowned. I was lucky to be in the room and see him struggle. I think it's safe for fish, but not for super small reptiles.

Bought for my timid but nosey honey gourami. The shrimp stole it as their honeymoon resort 🙄 still a good little hideaway option.

Perfekte Größe Lieben die Fische sich darin zu verstecken. Habs vorher vorsichtshalber gründlich abgespült. Kann euch die Sorge hier aber nehmen. Alle nach 2 Monaten noch am Leben. Kein billigmaterial, Wertarbeit. Wasserwerte unverändert.

It's not a good size for a cichlid at all. I do have 8cm + fish but the cave is too tiny even for a small one. Maybe a baby but why would you bother since they'll grow so quickly. I've order another set of caves similar but I'm praying they are bigger or the whole expense is not worth it at all. Why can't they make them bigger? Cave dwelling fish tend to be the size mine are in their maturity so it's sensible

Perfect size for our 30l tropical tank. Nicely textured material, nice weight, look good in the tank, our corydoras love nipping in and out them, good value for the price.
