The TP-Link AC2300 is easy to install, clear directions and boosts your signal very far!
The router works really great especially if you are trying to hook up a couple of cottages to get Wi-Fi. Emails work the best. This is the second one we've purchased (we manage cottage rentals on Lake Huron). Its very hard to get a signal and this router works better than anything we've purchased in the past.

Handles congestion very well.
Simple version:It has been handling the network demands for my Xbox One, Mac, HP, iPad, iPhone, Apple TV, and a few guest devices with no stumbles, stutters, or failures, including when I use AirPlay or my iPhone as a remote. Quick and reliable.Story version:As my previous dual-band 802.11ac router (the DIR-820l) showed consistent signs of struggling to handle Apple TV and other streaming video demands, I searched for a model with an even greater performance that wasn't targeted at gamers and cost $200+.At first glance, this model had attractive features: dual-core 64-bit CPU, 2.4GHz and 5GHz band support, gigabit Ethernet, triple antennas, etc). I felt confident, even at a higher price than preferred. However, I've seen it all before and always read at least some reviews claiming "garbage," "drops out," "needs to be rebooted constantly," and so on. Nonetheless, I decided to chance it, assuming I could do the return option, if needed, and try something else. Thankfully, I'm completely satisfied. Not only have the connection drops and inadequate buffering stopped during Apple TV use, operations among devices (e.g., using my iPhone as a remote) are faster and smoother than before.UPDATE: I just wanted to add, after seeing some of the other low rated reviews, my unit is still going strong a year-and-a-half later. Zero complaints thus far, and I hope that feeling continues for at least a few more years.

works great
Strong signal upstairs and down only slight deterioration in the back rooms. With multiple bands can run TV and all the other electronics at once with no buffering. Also with the USB 3 have a 5 terabyte hard drive with instant access for movies, music and photos which eliminates the need for a larger hard drive in my laptop. I am sold on the TP-LINK AC2300

Move on
If you're considering buying this router, move on to your next choice. I bought this router July 2018 and it died May 2019. The software and performance were quite good, perhaps the best I've experienced. The reliability obviously was trash-tier in my case. I kept this router on a voltage-conditioned UPS 24/7 thus it never experienced any brownouts or flickers. I treated this router with care, physically moving it only twice. When I started the RMA process with tp-link, the agent believed that the router needed replacement. After providing proof of purchase, FROM HERE, ON AMAZON, I was informed that I had purchased the router from a seller which was not "authenticated" (whatever the heck that means) and thus my *MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY*, although good until October 2020 according to their site, did not cover replacement. An absolute joke and I will NEVER buy a tp-link product of any sort, ever again. Moving on to Synology.

Beware of false sellers!
I’ve done enough research to find that this is one of the best router that’s available for the buck! However I made a wrong choice in selecting the seller. Please don’t get this from “24-7 store”. I has signal drop problems and the router restarted for no reason often! I’ve returned the product and got the same model from BB (paid a little extra) and it works the best!!! It’s handling so much load than I expected it!
