I don't know what all the fuss was about, these are great knives
You get all the knives you need. I have had them for about 45 days used all of them multiple times on everything from steak, Pork shoulder (8 lbs cutting down to individual servings for Food Saver, Large knife), tomatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus, potatoes, onions, Cheese (even swiss and 2 and 4 yr old cheddar). You get what I mean, I have checked all the knives for chips or small pits, that is why I bought this set. My old cheapy set was getting pitted out (ceramic it happens, or use too). No blemishes so far but I use a bamboo cutting board (not hard plastic) and I don't try to cut through bones (bad). If you want a knife for that or cutting down small trees or for cutting frozen packages in half, I would suggest a Zyliss serrated knife it will do all of that and cut trough aluminum cans, cut up cardboard boxes, hell you might be able to cut through a steel cable with enough time (trust me I have one about $12). But what you won't have are 3 very sharp great knives for kitchen duty. Will they chip, maybe in time, but so far so good and I won't be using them to trim the trees in the backyard anytime soon.

Great value for a great set of 3 knives.
Exceptional knives with a great grip unlike other brands which have a hard slippery surface. These knives have a sharp point as opposed to the other 3 brands I own which have a rounded edge. On occasion I need to core tomatoes, apples etc and this pointed blade does the trick. So far, after a week the blade is similar to other ceramic blades which are super sharp. The problem with these blades are sharpening them when they become dull. Usually I need to sharpen my ceramic clades every 3 months. The price for these three knives are roughly 10 dollars a piece which is phenomenal considering other brands such as Kyo(era charging much more.

not a bad set
The knifes look nice. we use them daily and they are not broken (yet).. But there are some issues : the handles do not feel as "ergonomic" as in Kyocera knifes (which we used for a few years till the blades broke). The blades feel sturdy enough, but they are on the thicker side and not as smooth and easy to cut as I would prefer. so, the knifes just do not feel right in your hand....

Great knives, but not forever
I’ve been cooking for over 45 years and these are the sharpest knives I have ever used. One issue though, their sharpness doesn’t last forever. About six to twelve months per knife, even when I am very careful. They slowly loose their sharp mess and are not for cutting things like hard cheese. You need to use the included sheathes to protect the knives, but if you do, they just seem to fall by gravity only through the ripest of tomatoes.

Great knife set - lightweight, well balanced and sharp
Great knife set - lightweight, well balanced and sharp as a, well...knife. The handles are comfortable and fit the hand well, they're also brightly colored and come with protective sleeves (1 for each) so you can quickly find them in a mix-use drawer or container and you won't hurt yourself retrieving them. Warning, they really are sharp so use with caution. I love them and am delighted with this purchase.

The razor sharp stuff must be tempered by reality. Good though.
Since I've never owned a ceramic knife, I thought I would start modestly with a relatively inexpensive set that garnered the much relied upon Amazon customer reviews. Having recently changed my diet to LoCarb-highFat and losing so far 36 lbs, it meant giving up all processed, fast, pre-packaged, grain filled, starch filled, sugar infested foods. In other words I now cook fresh food virtually every meal. Lots of chopping and dicing etc. I've grown to love it. The first thing I realized is my 25 year old butcher block set was not holding a great edge for more than 12 seconds. I ordered two high echelon Victorinox knives. Absolutely amazing tools. To fill in my butcher block and based on the rave reviews of this ceramic 3 set, I was anticipating the truly razor sharp edges reported due to contemporary advanced ceramics to be the equal of my high quality steel at a discount price. This did not happen. These wonderfully inexpensive ceramics are very sharp indeed, don't get me wrong. However, in any blind fingertip scraping test or tomato skin test, I can tell the 'be careful or you'll slice an artery' sharpness of Victorinox from this set. I even purchased a highly reviewed ceramic knife sharpener here on Amazon to possibly bring out their most razor sharp assets prior to this review. Alas, they can not be brought to the level of my Victorinox razor-like steel slicers. I like them, but the razor stuff must be tempered by reality.Edit 7/18/16: It's less than two weeks later and the 4" paring knife snapped in half while pulling thru my new manual ceramic knife sharpener, FYI

love these knives
love these knives, very sharp and nice looking. one piece of advice for those not aware (as I was). These are ceramics knives, never apply side pressure to them (for example, don't try to crush garlic with them), the knife is easily broken when side pressure is applied, and broken pieces are sharp.

No not for me
I've always had my doubts about ceramic knives. Firstly they weigh nothing which is a major problem with a sharp blade because it gives no control. Secondly they break if you drop them which you are going to inevitably do. These broke at the handle while I was using them for normal cutting. The one quality that I thought made them worth a try was their so called razor sharpness for life. Nonsense. They go dull and unlike steel blades you can't sharpen them. In two words total garbage. Want a good knife? Dalstrong Gladiator. Best blade around.
