And the recipes are inspiring. Some may be basic, but many give new twists on the old preparations. I spent a good hour dreaming over the contents of this book after I first got it. First, thank you to the seller who took extra effort to make the book arrive safely. Perfect condition. As for contents of the chicken book, Williams-Sonoma lives up to it's reputation of photographic wonder. Each recipe is illustrated by a full page look at what you should expect. And the recipes are inspiring. Some may be basic, but many give new twists on the old preparations. I spent a good hour dreaming over the contents of this book after I first got it. I have been cooking out of Williams-Sonoma cookbooks for 15 years and have NEVER found a recipe that disappointed- including this one! Yummy recipes with easy to follow directions for the home cook. I’ve tagged several recipes in this one to try and can’t wait to work thru them!

Bought as housewarming gift
Bought this and the rest of the collection as a added touch for new cooks to review, enjoy, and learn new ways to make chicken---in their Cuisinart products that were also purchased as part of the surprise! Like that they are hardcover--beautiful photos and good quality paper. Nicely done!

So so ...
Kinda a disappointment. So-so recipes that you can get in any cookbook. Noticeably smaller with fewer recipes than other Williams Sonoma cookbooks. If I’d been able to look it over before buying, I would have passed on this one.

TASTE LIKE CHICKEN
CHICKEN IS THE MOST UNIVERSAL OF ALL MEATS, well, this book, really lends itself to elevating the run in the mill, bird affair. A few time consuming techniques, but it's for special occasions. If you are looking for twists and turns on family favorites, this is a great collection. I suggest owning a convection oven, and high quality stainless cookware, when making most of these dishes.

A caution: many of the recipes use wine. As someone who no longer drinks, I returned the book without trying any of them.
