Lightmates LITE00113 LED Wireless Puck Light with Switch, 6-Pack

I bought these as a lighting solution for my gun safe. The product comes with 3M double sided adhesive that you apply to the back of the lights, this would be ideal for flat surfaces, but if you want to adhere the lights to a carpeted surface you would have buy velcro with an adhesive backing (readily available at Wal-Mart in the crafts dept.) The lights are bright and the fact that they come with a remote was a deal sealer. So far they have met and exceeded my expectations.I have read other reviews and it seems that others are trying to use these as a sustained lighting solution which I would discourage simply because they are battery operated. On a related note, I did happen to leave them on for about 8 hours because I forgot to turn them off and they did not drain the batteries. Either way if you need to illuminate a space for a short period of time and don't mind changing out the batteries periodically these lights may be the solution you are looking for.I highly reccommend these for any gun safe!

This was my original review;This is an amazing buy. We are currently renting a condo, and we love it. The only issue we have, is that the kitchen is slightly dark. I was watching HGTV one day, and noticed the difference under cabinet lights made. Unfortunately, we weren't willing to do all that construction, especially since the place isn't ours. I looked around for weeks for a solution. I finally stumbled upon this. It was about $40 (I paid for expedited shipping) and came with 6 pucks, BATTERIES, and a remote (that turns it on, off, dims the lights, and, my favorite, has a 30 minute timer). I thought it was a steal, and possibly too good to be true, that is, until I used it. From the time I opened the package, it took about 10 minutes (I read the whole information packet, and I am very anal about doing everything a particular way) to assemble. The directions are super simple. The light is BRIGHT. I like it on the dim setting, but if you need more light, then go for it! A great product! I highly recommend!After 1 week of using it, I had to replace ALL the batteries. Whats worse, is that they have to constantly be replaced EACH WEEK. I don't even use it that much! Uggh.

I purchased this item for use with my jewelry display cases at an antiques market because I thought it would provide quick lighting for the customers when they walk up to browse the display cases. The lights are bright and meet my expectation. The only complaint would be the battery life is short. These lights are perfect for limited (non commercial) use. The remote does control all the lights and we do receive a lot of compliments. Easy to install. Each light requires 3 batteries, which are included. I recommend this product.

I bought 3 packages to use inside an oak bookcase with glass doors that I'm using to display pottery. They give off plenty of light for this purpose. I bought them after having bad luck with a less expense product that I returned. I wanted lights that matched the bookcase as well as possible because you can see them. Since they're only available in white, I took them apart (very carefully) and spray-painted the white parts with a matte finish paint made especially for plastic ( Krylon 2441 'Fusion for Plastic' Satin Brown Boots Plastic Paint - 12 oz. Aerosol ). They look great! The bookcase is 60" by 64" with solid wood shelves and a solid partition down the center which gives me 8 separate areas to light. I put 2 lights in each 30" wide section for a total of 16 lights thus the purchase of 3 packages of 6 lights each. Each set came with its own remote but I was able to program the one of the remotes to operate all 16 lights in the bookcase. I plan to use the other two lights elsewhere and operate them with another one of the remotes. I have not had them long enough to report on battery life. I will edit this review when I've had them longer or if any problems pop up.FYI, the lights that I returned are the  Rite Lite LPL626BX 5 LED Pivot and Swivel Puck Light, Grey, 6 Pack . I bought 2 packages of 6 lights each for a total of 12 lights. Only 6 of them worked! A 50% defective rate is unacceptable, especially right out of the package.UPDATE 12/15/2013: I have revised my rating from 5 stars to 3. After 5 months almost all the batteries are dead. Doesn't sound that bad, but I'd only turned them on twice for about 30 minutes each time. Since I went to the trouble of painting them before installation, I'm going to try rechargeable batteries before I give up!

I purchased 2 sets of these lights. They look cheap but appeared to work well so I ordered another 3 sets. Shortly after ordering the second ones I noticed that one of the lights was failing. I changed the batteries and it was fine. A few days later the same light failed. This time i checked the batteries and only one was dead. Changed the batteries again and a few days later the same problem and only one battery was dead. Obviously a faulty light but at $10 per light they shouldn't fail!

I received these lights about 2 weeks after placing my order. They are very easy to install, and what's amazing is when using the remote the light does not have to be within view of the remote. We installed some under our kitchen cabinets, one on top of the cabinets highlighting a plant, sort of like an up light, and another around the corner in a corner cabinet. They are very nicely made, and coming with all the batteries is a real plus. As a side note, we choose to use velcro to install them versus the 3M stickers they comes with because the sticker has to be placed right over the the place that you need to get to to change batteries which means each time you need to change the batteries you will have to replace the 3M stickers. We like them so much that I have ordered a second set for a close firend. You will not be disappointed.
