Incredible knife, SHARP out of the box, very solid lock strength, easy to operate, great value, fits the hand like it was meant to be there! Excellent knife, great product, great balance, this is the best all around knife I have owned, I am thrilled! Cutting ability is 100%, smooth opening/closing, nothing about it took breaking in, this knife is ready to work!

So, first let me start off that I am no expert in folding knives but have done "a lot" of research into them over the past 2-3 years. Like most who are not knife collectors but are looking for an affordable well rounded knife, the Spyderco Manix 2 (lightweight) cannot be beat. I have been in law enforcement over 20 years, train in martial arts (to include Kali and Arni's), and am a weekend outdoorsman. I have purchased many cheapo folder knives over the years and carried some for longer than expected but believe that you utilize a tool until it cannot function in it's duties no more (i.e. I carried a Swiss army knife when I was young). I also firmly believe that a tool, such as a knife, is only good if you are willing to carry it as an EDC (everyday carry) - since you do not know when you are going to need it, and if it serves more than 1 function, you will most likely carry it. The Spyderco Manix 2 - lightweight is that knife. It is lightweight (although bigger than some folding knives - you don't feel the weight), it is the perfect length 3.5 inches (most local laws do not allow over 3.5 inches), the leaf blade shape and full flat grind allows for great cutting tasks such as slicing (food prep/cardboard boxes), the point is good for stabbing tasks (self defense if needed), it has a choil for smaller tasks such as whittling (outdoors/survival tasks), good BD1 carpenter steel which is pretty corrosion resistant and not to difficult to sharpen (really important for a novice), is backed by a brand name manufacture with years of experience and service, the ball bearing lock is strong/easy to use/fun to flip open, the translucent blue looks great and a good conversation starting piece, is made in the USA, and last but not least for the price ($) you get a whole lot of knife. I have owned it for 1 year as an EDC with no regrets. This is my 1st Spyderco and may be my last since it is so good that I don't believe I will ever need another (unless it gets lost). There are many positive reviews on this folder so I don't believe I need to go any further (which is always compared to another great Spyderco the Para2). If there was one improvement that I would make to this knife is to have it offered with the Emerson wave feature (like the delica and Endura models); deployment is smooth with the Spydey trademark hole but needs to be practiced. With a hook/wave type of deployment feature it would make this good knife great!

Only had it 24 hours but I think I like it. Honestly, I'm a CS guy and my first impression of this knife was 'I'll break it for sure'. It is lightweight as the name suggests. It weighed in at 82-83g's, pretty light. It is 3.5mm thick and the blade is just over 3 inches. The blades width is 1.25 inches at the thickest part. I like to fidget so this lock is great for me. The blade locks up nice and folds down smoothly. Not so sure about the value for money. Quality feel to this knife, no wiggle. The belt clip is great, I love the wire clip. I even like the translucent blue.

Incredible knife. I have several spydercos and this one holds its own very nicely. Zero play when in open position. S30v blade comes ultra sharp out of the box. No regrets. It is a little on the bigger side for an edc but over all very happy with this purchase. Would completely recommend.

Owning several Spydercos now, not sure why it took me so long to get a Manix 2, this is an excellent EDC folder. It's a little larger than my usual carry, but it feels so good in my hands and in the pocket, it's a non-issue for me. Spyderco's ergonomics, blade steels and the heat treatments on them, give them an edge over the competition IMHO. The lock on this is very solid and strong and it came shaving sharp out of the box. The G-10 handle scales have a really good grip to them without feeling too "overtextured" (if that's a word) and the S30V blade is a winner. Get one!

Spyderco quality. Stout blade design. The Manix 2XL Micarta feels great in my xl hands. Hair shaving sharp! Action is very smooth! CPM CRU-WEAR should be a workhouse and just require an occasional sharpening on my Sharpal 202H System to get back to hair shaving sharp!

Spyderco has always been a great knife Co. And yes the mannix is one of them is light enough to make you forgot you're carryng it. Deployment is the usual spyderco way and the closure is positive

Adding this... I did notice the bottom two screws closest to the lock were only screwed in a couple of threads and had no blue locktite. I removed them and tightened with locktite, but probably voided the warranty by doing so. I was using a benchmade auto adamas as an EDC. But its a chunker. This knife is almost the same size but much more carry friendly. Pics for comparison. It is by far the sharpest knife out of the box I have ever bought. I've never owned a spyderco knife before, but was always curious. Trying to save some money and bought the Kershaw Iridium from the popular mechanics review. Long story short it was well built but too small and slippery for my hands. This knife is perfect. And if it's too big you could always go to the manix regular and save some space. I can't tell you how quality is but if you hold one you can feel it. This is my new EDC. Adamas going in the safe for now. Very pleased with this knife.

Questo coltello è grande, ineccepibile dal punto di vista costruttivo come tutti i coltelli di questo marchio. Come dicevo l'impugnatura è grande e permette di passare con comodità da quella a tutto manico a quella "di precisione" più avanzata con molta naturalezza (ergonomia ai massimi come da mission aziendale a cui siamo abituati da sempre). La dimensione della lama consente lavori anche di un certo carico, il meccanismo di bloccaggio è sicuro, la lama ferma. Il meccanismo "ball bearing" una gioia, ancor più se hai le mani grandi. Molto smooth in apertura/chiusura dopo un certo periodo di rodaggio. Costa ma lo consiglio vivamente (a volte lo mettono "a rate" allora è da prendere)

Top Messer! Echt super scharf geliefert. Kein klingenspiel, robust gebaut, der S30V lässt sich sehr scharf ausschleifen und das DLC coating ist wahnsinnig robust! Für meine Hände passt es wie angegossen, habe Handschuhgröße 9-10. Hab es Jeden Tag als treuen Begleiter auf der Baustelle bei mir. Manchmal wird auch mal ein Kupfer rohr damit entgratet!! Mein nächstes spyderco wird dann ein "kleines manix" mit Micro MELT MAXAMET Klinge 🙄😊 Zum versandt! Alles ohne Probleme, würde zügig vom Händler losgeschickt! Nur immer diese Probleme mit Hermes....... Ansonsten alles zu meiner vollsten Zufriedenheit! War nicht mein erst und auch nicht letzter Lauf von Neun-24 über Amazon
