Great for cooking .Also making different kinds of Dijon mustard along with yellow and brown mustard seeds, with a vast array of other ingredients.

I bought this when I couldn't find Coleman's online at a fair price. I wanted some old fashioned Chinese Hot Mustard. It worked out great and saved a bundle.If you enjoy Chinese style hot mustard for dipping egg rolls, chicken nuggets or whatever, this works great. Take a shot glass of this mustard and pour it into a shallow ramekin like dish (I wouldn't use a metal dish). Then fill the shot glass with rice wine vinegar (or whatever type you have on hand) and make a paste with the powder. Let that sit covered tightly for or a few hours at minimum or overnight. Then add 1/4-1/2 teaspoon of salt to the shot glass and fill it with cold water and mix well. Pour the salt water into the mustard paste and mix well (adjust the consistency of the end product by using more or less salt water). This mixture will easily last for days. And it is HOT!You could experiment with different vinegars. And I also used the salty juice from stuffed olives instead of plain salt water for subtle taste differences.You can also mix a teaspoon of this mixture with 1/4 cup of mayo for a zesty sandwich spread.

When I was a kid growing up in England, the mustard would bring tears to your eyes. Nowadays, store-bought mustard has all been pussified and no longer has the bite of the real thing. This is not quite as strong as I remember, but it comes close. Mix it with a few drops of vinegar and water and let it sit for a few minutes. It can transform a humble ham sandwich into a gastronomic experience.

I got this for making pickled eggs and things like that. The taste is good. The aroma is good. The value is great as compared to what I would normally get from my discount supermarket.

I use ground mustard in my frying and crock pot cooking. So this refill bottle is a saver! Nice smell, and easy to handle to refill my shaker.
