Jajmo Legacy Top Grain Leather Portfolio - Professional Business Padfolio & Document Organizer with Writing Pad for Men & Women

Arrived in days from India to Midwest USA. This is as real as leather gets. I would not be surprised if the people who made this could walk to the farm it came from. This is hand cut and created and perfection. Anyone who has left a less than five star review for smell (wonderful), scratches, new stiffness etc know knothing about real leather and have no business shopping for an item like this. Stick to faux leather or nylon stuff. This as not a cheap item but it was still a bargain for the quality and these days rare esoteric qualities of this real leather item. I am as shocked and happy with the quality as I am that I even found such a thing on Amazon.

EXTREMELY well crafted and excellent design. The buffalo hide is elegant and tough at the same time with a buttery, smooth finish. The outside zipper is a little stiff but that’s probably because it’s new and it has fairly large teeth (some soap should help it to glide). Perfect number of pockets and compartments (for me). Can easily fit a slim laptop. IT’S GORGEOUS AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT ! ! !

My with works in advertisement and goes through notepads and portfolios like Kleenex! I got her these for Christmas and her face lit up! She loves the leather feel and smell. Has plenty of pockets for pens/ pencils and notepads. I think it’s going to last her a while. Since it is leather we can always get it repaired at the boot shop too

So I bought this and another just like it. This being the more expensive one$80ish. The other one I bought for $30 had more pockets and and handle but myself and brother chose to keep the more expensive one (this one). The buffalo leather was very impressive and smelled amazing. You could feel the genuine leather and the inside was all I needed. The zipper was a bit stiff but it just needs some breaking into. This business is family owned and their products hand crafted. A hand written note was in it and that felt special buying from them. I think paying the extra money was worth it because the material and craftsmanship is unbeatable and remarkable that someone can make this with their own two hands.

I've waited a few months to write this review. It's very elegant and useful for my work. I can carry my pens, some spare refills, a notebook and my Ipad in it. The leather shows no significant wear despite daily use. Nevertheless, I clean and condition it with leather care products at least once a month.

UPDATE: After two years I have one issue with the Portfolio: Newer, extra tall smartphones don't fit in the little inside pocket. It goes in OK but you can't close the pocket cover. Still not a deal breaker as I likely would not carry my phone in there and the pocket still works for small items. Still, something to think about. I've had vinal and "vegan" leather portfolios for years, mostly free items with company logos and mostly hated them. Laser printed paper sticks to them and leave lettering behind when peeled off. Vinal cracks and PU leather falls apart quickly. Yuk. So I started my search for an adult Trapper Keeper (if you know, you know!) and decided on this Padfolio because it is real leather and also it is very lefty-friendly since the pad of paper can be inserted from either side. There is no logo and all the slots for pens and stuff are "sideways" so a lefty like me can be comfortable. There are three things I think you should know before purchasing. 1. When you first open the shipping bag you will notice the odor. This is leather and will smell just like that. I didn't mind but my wife wasn't thrilled so I left it open in the basement for a few days. The odor dissipated enough but didn't disappear entirely. That will take time. 2. The leather is stiff. The spine and sides are not silky smooth and will take time to break in. Don't force the zippers if they catch a little at first. The leather will soften with use. If you want to speed that up a little, use a leather conditioner like Leather Honey. I noticed an immediate result for the better after one application. 3. This leather will show every scratch. It isn't highly polished or tanned too deep so any scratch will leave a lighter colored mark. Leather Honey will help that too but many people like the "distressed" look as it adds character to the item. None of these are negatives for me but may be a problem for some. You may prefer a different material if this type of leather isn't for you. I would love a custom Padfolio to get exactly what I want but I'm not that rich! Overall I am very satisfied with the Padfolio and expect it to last a very long time.

The only reason why I am keeping this item and writing a review is because of the handwritten note in the portfolio. This portfolio is exactly what I wanted. The craftmanship is excellent and will last me for a very long time. However, I do believe the seller should take the time to properly clean and apply some kind of "finish" so it can be ready for use. I am disappointed mine arrived with a strong odor and very dull and dusty. I used a leather cleaner before use hoping it will resolve the issue. The pockets are very tight and may take a while to stretch out. I'm hoping they stretch out soon because I need them to be functional. I am not steering anyone from buying one - the craftmanship is excellent - but it is not as presentable as it should be for the selling price. Edit: Unfortunately, I had to revisit this review. As I was further cleaning the pockets and hard to reach areas, I found mildew. It is not green dust.. it's mildew. No one should be able to sell such item.

This is by far the best padfolio I’ve owned and used. Very well constructed, looks great, and lots of storage for what I need it for. Hold my new iPad with case no problem. Love the look of the leather. Had many compliments already!

Love everything about this. It has a really expensive yet rustic look and it’s even better when it is marked. Perfect for my iPad (10th Generation & keyboard folio). Notepad inside is great and has plenty of space for loads of important documents.
