We picked these for our wedding gifts, and they’re awesome looking, however on the back they clearly say dishwasher and microwave safe, and they’re not even hand wash safe. Within a month all of the writing and gold band was fading and coming off even with simple sponge washing. Definitely not suitable for every day use, and may not be suitable for any washing whatsoever, which is, you know, kind of important for dish ware. We have 8 sets that are just becoming plain white plates.

I opened this up. All packaging was intact and appeared to be brand new. There were fingerprints all over the gold on the small plate. The inside of the bowl appeared to be covered in a fine film of soot or dark dust and the dinner plate looked like it had been used and very poorly washed. I am sure it will look fine after I run it through the dishwasher but I am glad this was for myself and not a gift.

I was expecting something like my other harry potter plate set but what I got was terrible. The decals were faded and already rubbing off without even washing them. These are going to Goodwill.
