Idiosyncratic but striking
I've been drawing cards daily since I opened this deck. The art is striking, and the "flavor" is unique due to an idiosyncratic but consistent and compelling visual language. The booklet is generic and differs in some respects from the most typical readings for various cards - in fact going soft on many cards that usually see a harsher interpretation, which is odd given the rather tumultuous character of the iconography of the deck. Some cards which usually have a positive reading are given a visual rendering that is much darker or more fraught. The examples I provide here are the Three of Pentacles and Five of Wands. As you can see, the 3 Pentacles is rather grim! Standard reading is simply "Material works", and is generally positive and constructive. Similarly, 5 Wands is "Strife", but here has an odd quality of refuge.Overall, the deck seems to include an element of sacrifice and struggle, in many cases teasing out some interesting possible nuances from the pips in particular. As always, YMMV, but an enjoyable and interesting deck.

Gorgeous deck!
This deck is really awesome. The art is vibrant, there's an incredible amount of diversity in the deck, and in general it just has an incredible feel to it.I'd like the cardstock to be a little thicker, but it's not flimsy enough to be annoyed about it. My only issue with it is that the way the art on the back is, it's pretty impossible for reversals to come up naturally (but then again that would probably make this a good deck for beginners).

intuitive and beauitfully strange
I learned on the rider waite deck, and this one has roots in that deck, but with different interpretations and I LOVE IT. It gave positive connotations to where there had traditionally been darker ones (5 of swords- the hedgehog has turned the chaos of the sticks into a make shift shelter) and darker connotations as warning in traditionally cheery cards. AND THE ILLUSTRATIONS ARE DOPE. So many symbols that seem very unique to this illustrator. Thank you Roberto Covallo for putting yourself into this masterpiece.

Beautiful deck, makes a great gift for a mystical-loving friend
I got this for my friend's birthday a few years ago and she still uses it to this day. I love the art on this deck and honestly would recommend buying it directly from the artist, Ricardo Cavolo. It's sold from Barnes and Noble and on his website I believe, as well as many other places you can find with a quick google search. I regret not supporting him directly. GREAT DECK!!!

Incredible art, subpar cardstock
I love Ricardo Cavolo's art in these cards. The symbolism is rich in the trumps, and the visual iconography of the minors loosely follows the RWS tradition with some pretty significant twists (and a few that seem to match up better to Marseille). Vibrant colors and figures, and though it may be confusing from a suit perspective to have fire in almost every card, I find this strange world where everything is on fire echoes my own world well. Also really enjoy all the genderbending and the unapologetic sensuality.Biggest fault in this deck lies with the cardstock. It has a plasticky feel, it's thin, overly glossy and slippery, and worst of all the cards do not lie flat. I tried to show how the deck curves in the picture.

Fantastico!
Love these cards!!! I'm a beginner so the interpretations are a little tricky, so maybe not the best deck to start with. Learn from a traditional RWS deck and then branch out with something like this. However this deck definitely follows in the RWS tradition as far as the names and meanings. It's a smaller deck but I absolutely love it! Great card stock and I LOVE the artwork. If you like this style of art, you will definitely enjoy this deck.

I love the size
This is the third tarot deck I've owned, and the first I felt truly connected to. The art is vivid, engaging, and unique. I love the size, slightly smaller than usual, and find that this is the deck I tend to carry with me and use for readings on the fly. My only complaint is that the cardstock is quite glossy and cards tend to fall out easily when shuffling or cutting the deck.If you find yourself drawn to the art, I would definitely recommend purchasing for yourself.

Beautiful, Positive, Enlightened
Some of the most inspired artwork I have seen in years. Cavolo has a firm grasp on the meanings and imagery that make up your classic Pixie Smith deck and twists it so all the positive underpinnings of the distressing cards are made a little clearer and more present. But with, you know, raccoons with six eyes who are on fire. Spiritually turned on, absolutely compelling images, fresh and familiar and definitely making my life a little weirder and a little better. Rock psychedelic meets witches psychedelic. I love it. Life changing tarot deck.
