Maté Factor Yerba Organic Chai Loose, 12 Ounce

This has very high quality yerba maté, without stems or dust and has a lot of real chai spices ground up and added to it. I drink yerba maté at least twice a week with a touch of half and half for a creamer and some agavé nectar for some sweetness and when it's time for a treat, usually in the winter, I use this Chai maté. The chai spices are so strong, I use two parts regular yerba maté and one part of this chai maté. You could also use it at a 1 to 1 ratio. Would not use it at full strength. This is really tasty stuff.

This tea must be gaining in popularity, because it`s getting harder to find in the usual stores (and I`m guessing why the sellers charge more on here for it). It`s such a treat to have this piping hot in the morning. Depending on how you brew your tea, a fine mesh strainer will keep the tiny flavorings out of your teacup.

Got this yesterday and drank three cups of it! I love it! Its the perfect amount of chi spice with just subtle hints of the Mate with no "grassy" taste to it. The bag it came in was packed full! Like to the brim. So even though it had this nice little twisty at the top to keep it fresh I just knew it was going to spill out so I put it in a tin I already had. The only downside to this product is that it is super SUPER fine! even my fine mesh strainer won't keep the bits out. I ended up using a coffee filter like a tea bag. I don't like floaties! Probably the finest tea I have ever seen but not quite a powder. Just wish the chunks were a smidge bigger so my tea strainers could catch it but otherwise a great product and will be getting it again!

i like a strong flavorful chai. i want to be able to taste it even when it's diluted with milk. this is the only chai i've found that stands up to that. AND it's a Mate base, not black tea, so no caffeine. i drink this during the day with coconut milk and a little stevia.
