This is a great answer, you can add this - in line - to your existing power cable and add six extra feet to your current power cord. Most likely you will take a 6 foot cord and make it 12 foot long. It is a solid Heavy Duty 14AWG wire so there should be no problem with the extra length. This is well-made and nice and thick quality that won't easily break or come apart.A really nice way to extend a cord that isn't long enough, with a quality outer layer that will protect it from damage.

These computer power cords are super high quality. The cables are extremely thick and durable and the connectors are solid and stable. This particular one has a C19 connector on one end and a C20 on the other. This cable is convenient as an extension, allowing 6 feet of wiggle room if you need it depending on device placement.The company advertises a lifetime warranty. I have yet to have to use that warranty, I am happy to say. But if and when it comes to that I will post an update. This cable has the appearance of quality and I expect it to last for a long time.

Never been dissapointed with StarTech products.... been buying them ever since on Amazon, this 14 gauge pc cord is no exception.... quality maker.... I always look for startech first, amazon Basic next...

Like another reviewer, I chose this item because of the description - I keep a stock of computer extension cables on hand at all times as part of my job. However, the end of the cable that goes directly into the back of a computer or electronics device does not fit into anything that I own or am responsible for maintaining. Further, the plug end, the one that goes directly into the wall, is capped in such a way that it will not fit into any standard electrical outlet. The boyfriend owns a music studio and recording facility, and there was nothing in his shop that would fit this cable. He's got a huge amount of equipment at his fingertips, everything imaginable that is related to music and post-production editing. So the description of the item is definitely inaccurate.

This is an incredibly handy cable to have around. In my case, I needed to have my desk centered on a wall but wasn't able to get everything plugged into my power bar. The extension cable allowed me to plug my computer tower into a second wall outlet and keep my desk where it was, rather than moving the entire setup. It was kind of an all or nothing situation where the computer desk was. Problem solved. Whew.Good quality cable, nothing twisted or kinked. Packed neatly.
