What a phenomenal mask. Its lightweight, easy to apply and does wonderful things for my skin. Plumps, hydrates, smooths, reduces fine lines, refreshes and revitalizes. It can be used 2 ways-apply and leave on 20 minutes before rinsing or apply before bed and rinse off in the morning. I have tried both methods and prefer the 20 minute route. I know I'm nit-picking here, but the instructions/ingredients are printed on the outside of the box. The box is pretty-its white and gold. But the print is so darn small and the gold color reflects off of light making it very hard for me to read. I wound up taking a picture of the instructions, enlarging it and reading it off of my cell phone. lol. That wasn't a huge deal for me but I wanted to mention it. What I did find disappointing-there is a plastic cover (not a seal, a cover) under jar lid with a little tab for easy removal. Despite the cover which appeared to be firmly in place when I removed the lid for the first time, some product had leaked out. The normal consistency of the mask is VERY lightweight-like a watery gel (its pourable) yet the product that leaked was more like Jello. Hopefully a change will be made to better prevent the product from leaking. A durable seal under the jar lid would help, IMO. The other issue I have is the scent. Its not awful but unfortunately, its strong and gagging and remains that way during the 20 mask wearing timeframe. (I don't know how long the scent stayed strong when i tried the mask overnight since I fell asleep at some point. I can tell you the scent was not strong in the morning when I awoke and rinsed it off. I didn't even notice it by that time) I'd love to see the scent toned down or even made scent free. I have dry, sensitive skin and experience on adverse effects from this product. Boy, does this mask do superb things for my skin. Almost feels as though I have the skin I had decades ago, before I spent tons of time in the sun, started using makeup, aged, etc. My skin doesn't just look good from this, it FEELS good. This mask is not cheap. It does a fantastic job, a little goes a very long way. But I'd have to see a better method of preventing leakage and something done to tone down the scent a bit before I'd purchase it.

Whenever purchasing beauty products on Amazon, I approach with a skeptical eye. Imitation products proliferate certain sites. This product arrived 10 days after I ordered it. There was some issue with the delivery transportation. Not the seller's issue. The product was delivered inside a bubble wrap bag. Inside the bag was the manufacturer's box that was thicker cardboard which would belie quality. There was no tamper proof security around the box i.e. shrink wrap or tiny tape. Inside the box was a lovely jar. The jar did not possess any tamper proof security either. Once the jar was opened, it was obvious that there was some trauma during its journey. Some of the product slouched out of the container and onto the lid. See pictures. I applied this to my hand (left) to test it. So far so good. The product smells clean to me. At $200 a jar, I want EVERY drop on my body. I took off a star because of the packaging and shipping. No tamper proof security. This product should have been wrapped in bubble wrap or the air filled bubbles for shipping.

For the price and other reviews, I was hoping this was going to be a holy grail product, one I would invest in because the results were worth it. Sadly, that's not what I found. First, for any skincare product but particularly for a pricey one, I would expect to find both an expiration date and a tamer-proof seal. This had neither. The product itself is a green gel, very lightweight. It does feel good being applied and I didn't need a lot of it. It absorbed well and had a light clean scent. My skin felt soft and hydrated after applying, not tacky or greasy. But at the end of the day, I didn't see any results I wouldn't have gotten from a drugstore product.

When I opened the box that this hydration recovery mask was in, the mask gel has leaked all over the jar and inside the box. I lost about a third of the product after I cleaned up the jar, which was a lot considering the price. As far as the mask itself, I’ve used it at night after washing my face and left it on for 30 minutes. That was after doing two days of patch tests (the first on my arm, and the second day on a small spot on my face with no adverse effects). Once I rinsed this off, my skin did feel hydrated and soft. I do wish it had arrived with a better seal, and also an expiration date. I’m going to save what I have left for when it gets a little warmer outside . Then I will put this in the refrigerator, which I read feels very refreshing.
