This adapter is perfect for making my little hobby rock tumbler tumble slower, which for some reason makes the pottery shards I'm smoothing in it get smooth faster. I recommend it for this purpose, in case anyone else has had the same problem I have had trying to tumble pottery shards to get "beach pottery." The picture shows how nice the shards came out after only 16 hours on the 6v setting.

I own a few of these power supplies and bought them specifically to wire up a few groupings of multiple Christmas LED strips in the house that use batteries so I could power them instead from power supplies and remote controlled receptacle switches so batteries don't need to constantly be replaced or the need to switch them all off and on everyday by hand. Works great, the light strips can be on all day and have never been as brilliant with batteries and the intensity never fades, the connector containing the binding strip made it a snap and I can save a lot on buying a ton of batteries. Verified polarity with meter to be sure it matches what's written on the binding strip which I would do with every one of these I'd buy to be sure. Using 3 volt setting(for 2 - AA battery in series) and it measured a smidge high but hasn't caused an issue with any of the sets.

If the VA .let's your needs. It is the perfect DC power supply to put on the shelf. The adjustment for DC voltage fits most applications. I would buy again.

We had purchased "Motion Sensor" stair lights for a dark staircase. They worked great, always came on, and shut off after a few seconds.After the first two weeks, they started to dim, and required 4) new AAA batteries EACH. I bought the "Ultimate Lithium" batteries, and they also died before three weeks of use. We were spending just under $60.00 a MONTH, just for some light on the stairs.I opened the lights up, re-wired the battery leads, and soldered on wire extensions. I connected the BELKER adapter, set it to 6 Volts, and plugged it in. Problem Solved! I fished the new wiring behind the stairs, and installed the Power Adapter in the basement ceiling. No more giant battery orders, and all the lamps are all bright. (FOREVER)

Was not too sure how well this variable power supply would work, but took a chance as the original power supply replacement was about the same price and hoped this would actually work for several of my devices.Easy to set: Just use small screw driver to set the dial to device voltage.Charged the battery for two different devices so far, and confident it will also work well with the restof my other devices missing their original charger.Excellent device, good price, and eliminates needing several different power supplies.

I looked at a few different universal DC converters and my biggest concern was how easy the voltage dials would be to accidentally turn. You might think you want a nice easy dial, but if the dial is too easy to turn it could be turned by accident. If you have a 5V device and the dial gets bumped to 12V, your device is likely to puff out some nice smoke.This one requires a flat object (it comes with a "key") to turn the dial. The dial is just hard enough to turn that I is unlikely to get turned by accident, but not so hard to turn that it would be a pain to change.
