Product review: STARBUCKS Espresso Roast Dark Roast Whole Bean Coffee, 200 g (Pack of 6)I grind beans with Krups grinder and then use coffee with my Melitta LOOK Therm filter coffee machine.I consider myself quite a hobbyist when it comes to coffee (not quite a connoisseur yet) and occasionally I buy beans from local Belfast roasters (SD Bells) but they are quite expensive so not my typical everyday coffee, just special occasions.As grocery prices go ridiculously high (and Sainsbury's increased this Starbucks from already high £3.40 in Dec '22 to £4.40 in Jan '23, so goodbye Sainsbury's) , I am always on the lookout for good coffee at reasonable price.I am truly in love with this Starbucks Dark Roast but I always mix my beans - sometimes with Lavazza and sometimes with other newly discovered brands. And I can always taste the distinctive kick form Starbucks in the finished cup.One last comment for the price: I have added this product to my wishlist when it was priced at £20+ (can't remember exactly) and my recommendation is do NOT buy this if it's priced at more than £18 because it's simply OVERPRICED at that level, nothing to do with quality. Keep it in your wishlist or subscribe to get extra discounts.In the end, it's a lovely coffee full of strength and aroma and I will always come back to it.

Very good coffee

I loved this coffee however at Christmas it shot up in price, the taste is nice the quality is good only buy now when the price comes down, lovely smell when opening the bag.

I have had these beans on subscription for a long time with no complaints. They have a great flavour and were a god price. This month i found my next delivery had been put up by over £10. It's a ridiculous price rise and I have now cancelled and will buy elsewhere.

I consider myself to be a coffee snob. Always looking for that perfect cup of coffee. I enjoy my coffee short and strong. 50ml shoot of espresso or 30ml risotto shoot are my favourite. I brew my coffee in an automated Krups EA8150 espresso machine. Starbucks expresso dark roast is ideal for you, if you are looking for a high quality everyday coffee, or as a special occasion if on a tighter budget. I have drank a lot of coffee (still surprised i can ever get to sleep) and tried many brands. This is without doubt my current favourite. I have ordered 4 times. The beans are nice and oily. I love how fresh the coffee is with 6 individual 200g packs. This is great for keeping these beans at their prime. No unnecessary plastic packaging. My partner drinks this long, with no complaints. The taste is smooth with a nice caffeine hit. It strong with no bitter taste. It tastes just like you buy in Starbucks. You can buy coffee a lot cheaper, but I deem the price good value for money. Overall a high quality coffee bean.

This was a repeat order which arrived on time in good condition. I have not yet started on this batch but have no reason to believe it will not be as excellent as always.
