D.S. & Durga Portable Fireplace Candle, 7 oz

I was disappointed by the scent of this candle as it smells lightly of cedar, maybe even some sandalwood, but not like the smell of a wood fireplace. Given the high pricepoint, I would not recommend. That said, the customer service of the seller was great, and I certainly do not hold this against them.

I am so disappointed in the scent of this candle. Really, it does not remotely smell like a fireplace, nor burning wood. It barely smells of anything at all. I am especially disappointed in the fact that I paid $65.00 for this & it is sooooo not worth a fraction of that cost.I must add to this review that the Customer Service of the candle company itself is Fantastic. I was sent a new candle to see if it was just an issue with the 1st one I had been sent.

Smells pretty close to real fireplace but nothing mimics the real thing.

I saw this mentioned a few years ago in a magazine and had to check it out. I am so glad I have as it is my all time favorite candle. Definitely that homey warm fireplace smell. One reviewer mentioned theirs didn't smell at all like a fireplace, I am wondering it they just happened to get an older candle where the smell had faded? I have repeatedly bought this candle/scent without ever ever being disappointed. :-) AAA+++

Been lighting the candle nightly for the past several weeks, and heard some sputtering which stopped all of a sudden. I looked over and the whole interior of the candle was on fire. Put out the fire, cooled down the candle and promptly threw it away. Thank god I was in the room. Too bad I bought 2 of these........I originally had a different scent in my cart, but removed it knowing that it could potentially burn down my apartment.

For a zillion dollar candle this thing is actually worth it. I don't know why I was secretly hoping little sparkles would come out of it but it still gets 5 stars. It really does smell like a wood fire. Cedar, I think. Plus it lasts forever.

I love this candle. Smells just like a wood burning fireplace. It even smells good when it's not lit! Love it!
