Baader Hyperion 17mm Eyepiece

Great eyepiece. Baader Planetarium's Hyperion eyepieces are arguably the best bang for the buck in wide field telescope eyepieces. At more than half the price of premium Televue eyepieces with similar fields of view, there is not a noticeable different in performance.

Es un ocular caro, pero que en otros comercios ronda los 125 euros. Viene en una fundita de cuero y dos funditas de goma como proteccion del ocular, con la opción de poder utilizarse en telescopios de 1,25"pulgadas, o si se le desenrosca la ultima parte se puede utilizar con telescopios de oculares de 2". Su calidad es excelente, ademas con un buen angulo de vision. Existe la posibilidad de comprar un adaptador de rosca, que con una anilla tipo T2 te permite enroscarlo a una camara reflex para tomar fotografias (ninguno de los dos se vende en amazon).

This is a huge step up from the basic ploski lenses that you get with a telescope. It provides more than enough relief for me to be able to keep my glasses on while still seeing objects clearly. I did not notice distortion near the edges of the field. I did not like pairing it with a Barlow lens because the eye relief was almost as bad as the ploski lenses again. Also be aware that it is huge, and considerably heavier than the ploski lenses that come with your telescope.
