Pods work well, used for years. I usually use with a small net bag to avoid occasional residue from the pod not breaking down fully (yes, even following instructions). Would rate higher but the new lavender scent is gross. I’m not generally sensitive to scents but this one gives me an insta headache. Much more floral perfume than the lavender eucalyptus of the old scent. Looks like I’ll have to switch to the unscented but will fondly remember the days when my laundry smelled fresh and clean. Ah well.

Our new septic tank recommended that we stop using liquid fabric softener. I ordered Dropps. The scent is very light, (overpowered by my detergent). I did not notice that my clothes were any softer than when I used liquid. Itchy. Neither me or my husband are sensitive to detergents, soaps, etc. We have both been very itchy and chaffed in sensitive areas. I stopped using the Dropps, washed clothes using no added fabric softener in the washer, added bounce dryer sheets and the itching stopped. I won't be ordering this again. It really is a shame too! I am earth friendly and try to use items in recyclable ♻️ containers. I will be donating what is left to the Goodwill.

I have purchased many boxes of dropps fabric softener over the last three years in their former lavender cedar scent and have loved this fabric softener more than any I have ever used before in my life. In the last few months I received a box of dropps fabric softener through Subscribe n Save that smelled awful before I even opened the packaging of the outer shipping box. I thought either I had made a subscription error or Amazon had sent me the wrong product and I returned it. I just now learned through reading another review here that dropps has changed their product completely and the scent I love is gone. I have unsubscribed from dropps and will be searching for another fabric softener like the original lavender cedar scent they carried. The new lavender meadow scent they replaced it with is awful.

I live in high desert country, with extremely low humidity and plenty of static electricity. Much of my female personal clothing is washed, then hung out to line dry. It DOES HELP with (but not eliminate) static cling, and the scent is very, very mild which I so appreciate because it does not overwhelm you like so many others. I do not use these on my husband's clothing as there is no need.

I am breaking up with Dropps after having used them for a while now. I was really excited about the low-waste packaging, but it has unfortunately been brought to my attention that the coating is in fact a plastic. I was trying my best to do away with plastic so I can no longer use these. The way these pods break down is a huge problem for us humans and the earth. While they might disintegrate, tiny nano particles of plastic have now been found in people and animals. THIS CAN'T HAPPEN! We cannot get to the point where every human has tiny bits of plastic in their body. We will all become extremely sick. I am switching to a powder in a cardboard container. I suggest others seeking out this kind of option as well! Dropps could research a plant based coating and then I would come back :)
