Why did you pick this product vs others?: These are awesome! The OEM batteries are so crazy expensive, but these work just fine and I haven't noticed any functionality issues and they hold the same charge as my OEM. I use the same exact charger for them and they've served me well for over a year now. I would buy these again if any of them decide to go out.

I bought the BM Battery for my HF R400 in Feb 2016, - and yes, it's decoded, my recorder shows the time left, and the time on this battery is a bit more (177mins fully charged -- which is slightly more than the time on my OEM battery (though my OEM has been used a bit). It fits nicely on the camera, not too tight or too lose. HOWEVER, from this same listing I also ordered the BM Charger for this BM Battery but I got a different one sent to me. (Both the Battery and Charger were listed as Sold by Big Mike's Electronics and Fulfilled by Amazon. Now, I get that these chargers all really look alike, and are probably all made by the same people overseas, but I had hoped to pair my new Big Mikes (BM) Battery with the BM Charger, to make it easier to recall which charger goes with which battery (I have many batteries and chargers for many different Canon video recorders, and they all look very similar. The charger did work, though I had to put two pieces together when it arrived (that was the design of it), and that was not hard, but a bit of a surprise. Maybe these aftermarket ones all work that way The BM Battery did fit nicely into this charger, and it did charge the battery. But it's not what I had hoped for. I guess I will get out my label maker and put something on this charger to remind me which one it's for.

I had to look at pictures of the battery in comparison to others to determine if it was the "big" variety. My Canon Vixia 500 came with a small battery, which didn't suit my purposes for an hour and a half shoot. Canon doesn't offer these any more, but this replacement did the trick. It help up for two hours of shooting at high def. Nice.

Great product. Battery works like original. I bought a replacement battery a few years ago and even though it works well, the communication between the battery and the camera didn't work. These batteries communicate like the originals and last much longer.

Great product we go more than one dozen for our 3 vixia. Be very careful to not plug the camera with a battery in. The battery will de-program and the camera will not be able to read the battery charge level. The battery still work however.

Fast delivery bur more importantly these batteries give me almost 3 hours of charge each, far maor ethan the Canon battery that is in the box. Thank you for making these available.

By far the best battery I have purchased for this camera (I have purchased a few). Over 3+ hours of charge is shown when it is fully charge and it communicates battery level perfectly with the camera. Very pleased.
