I'm glad I purchased it anyway
I was hesitant to nuy this based on the negative reviews about the quality of the game. I'm glad I purchased it anyway. I am not familiar with the "classic" version of this game, so I'm reviewing based on the product I purchased and nothing else. My kids and I enjoy the game, they are 6 and 3. And while the 3 year old needs help to understand and play the game it's easy for both of them to play with a little assistance. As for the quality of the game pieces- There are 2 game boards (it's just a 2 player game) and four cards, up to 4 options to choose. The card slips to the back of the game boards which is plastic. There are several plastic doors that "lock" into position so they don't close unintentionally while playing. This mechanism works well for now but I can predict that overtime this will become loose, but for now I'm sure we will get a long time of playing before this happens, so I'm not worried about it. There is an arrow thing that attaches to each game board the have each player choose the item their opponent must guess. For this to work without opponents seeing each other's choices, each player must keep his board out of view of the opponent . We have fun with the game. I like that it is quick and you can play as many rounds as you like. This will come in handy during the Summer vacation to keep the kids occupied.

Nostalgic Family Fun
I got this for the kids at Christmas thinking it would be nice to play together since it was one of my childhood favorites. When it arrived, it's new look makes it seem like it should be for a younger kid (early elementary school). I considered doctoring it up to have the faces be one of our family members (Thank you Pinterest for that idea!). But I ran out of time and didn't get to it. The kids received it in the original condition and loved it! They have played it at least 20 times in the last two weeks. It is very sturdy and still as much fun as I remember it to be. The only down side to it is the newer look doesn't have as many faces as the original model. It also has a mix of animals and people. This makes the game much easier and end quicker. Regardless, it is still a great find for some wholesome family. For the bonus, this newer model is much sturdier with a heavier frame than what it used to come with. The board will definitely uphold any kiddos rough housing with them. Love it and so glad we bought it!

Great version for younger kids.
True, quality is flimsy, but it's great for younger kids. With fewer items/people to choose from (only 15) it's easier for my four year old to look over all the options. The animal one has lots of straightforward differences that are easy for him to spot. Also being able to change the cards is good so it's refreshing each time and we can play longer without it getting boring. It's not reliant on the people's names like in the original to make your guess, so it's great for kids who can't yet read. They can say "Is it the blue fish?"Quality not even close to my 80s version which is probably still kicking around at my parents' house, but this is great for the price. A great way to focus their attention to look for details.

Nice toy
We love this game. I like the magnetic pieces and we can take this game anywhere with us. We have not lost a piece yet and I bought this in December. Now that is saying something with my five year old! He just finished Pre-K and only knows how to spell a very limited number of words (cat, dog, mom, dad, free, food). Makes it easier on me when I play with him! Most of the time he has to ask someone else to help him spell a word to play. So for now it takes 3 of us to play the game but only one person needs to be around to help him spell a word. Keep this in mind if you're buying for a young child. I have to let him win a lot or at least give him more chances than normal when it's his turn to figure out my word. Otherwise he would get too frustrated. I recommend buying this game. --Lisa

Simple game to learn important skills
This is a great game to help children learn problem solving, deductive reasoning, visual observation, listening skills, and creative thinking. These are very important skills that are hard to come by in games, especially simple games for very young children. I also love Guess Who because it doesn't feel competitive, it's more about discovery. My 5 year old daughter and I play this many times a week. It's a quick set up, quick play, and can be played where ever. She rips doors off frequently, I still don't know how, but she pops them back on easily! In our opinion the pets and people are the easiest/best for her age. The sea creatures and food can get a little complicated. For example, do seahorses have flippers, and what's the difference between flippers and fins, especially to a 5 year old? LOTS of laughs trying to figure out what to ask though!

Guess Who: Includes Animals!
This is a nice addition to the Iggy game closet. It's also a pretty decent travel game, as all of the pieces stay within the board. My young daughter (5.5) played this with me, and after a couple of games was really starting to get the concept. The animal card was probably the easiest for her to understand, and she seemed to really enjoy the game. I think it's fun for sure, but it definitely didn't have the same appeal to me as the original game from my childhood. It is Made in the USA, so it does get bonus points from me.

Not too shabby
Bought this for my 7 year old for Christmas. He's played it many times- which is saying something when he usually chooses Legos or electronic devices over anything else on this planet. It's a little bit cheap- the doors seem like they could snap off if you weren't fairly careful with it. The game boards are just cardboard panels that slide into the back of the "door" board. They could probably also be a little more sturdy if you were looking for true longetivity. You can choose different categories- food, animals, transportation and sea creatures. Gives the game a little more of a life than the original that was just people. That being said, with a little care, it's a good little game. Probably good for ages 5-8. Good for learning about/practicing categories, colors, descriptive language.
