From a true hotsauce geek: this is one of the finest if you enjoy real heat.
So a few years back I realized I like spicy stuff...and went on a rampage exploring all types of hot sauce. I ordered 2 or three bottles a week of all different brands for a couple years. I ordered homemade sauces off etsy, I ordered sauces from other countries. Tried the classics and the weird stuff. Most people can not tolerate extremely-spicy foods. Those of us who like it know about brands who make stuff that is hot and burns your mouth and flavorless. More liike a prank item than a food anyone would enjoy. BERTIES is NOT THAT. This stuff is the real deal, this scorpion sauce. It's not so much the intimidating heat factor that literally washes over you like a wave the first few times you eat some and break a sweat/ start hiccuping lol....but the most notable thing is the amazing flavor of the peppers. Hilarious to describe such a fiery sauce as "fruity" but it is. So its not just hot AF, it is HONEST hot af because of using rare types of ripe, hot af peppers. This is a bottle of pepper sludge, not the watery red vinegar stuff. The other thing is for hotsauce users....SODIUM content can be a deal breaker, If you dont use a few drops but several tablespoons---stuff like tobasco will kill ya at 200mg sodium per serving. Kinda hard to believe....but this bottle say 19mg sodium per serving. Safely abusable. The generous bottle size is also appreciaated after living 5oz ounce bottle to bottle for years. The last thing is you know how people say "a little hot sauce can be used as flavoring, just a dab!"...but it really does nothing except make you want more actual hotsauce?🤣 I used a single spoonful of this berties scorpion pepper in a chicken/ mushroom, broccoli stir fry and just a teaspoon gave a great pepper taste to the whole pan and didnt make it overwhelming hot. (of course i added extra berties later, but for the average person lol). The regular Berties is a knock out too, just not dangerous-level spicey. This stuff if you are a real pepper freak....or the regular berties if you like stuff like siracha if it were a little hotter. My favorite sauce i found in the last 18 months. Totally awesome. -M the the Power of M

Scorpion Sauce
I’m not sure how long this sauce has been in the bottle, but it tastes like they bottled it right before I opened it. It’s that fresh tasting. The first thing you smell and taste is peppers. So if you like the fruity taste of Caribbean peppers, you’ll love the taste of this. I personally love that fruity pepper flavor. Bertie’s is not messing around either-it shocked me how spicy this was. I have a decent tolerance and this sauce made me question that. Not for novices unless you want to get sucker-punched by heat. Even for those well versed in hot foods, it may surprise you. It’s no joke. Absolutely delicious and fresh, and extremely hot. What’s not to love?

A MUST TRY FOR HOT SAUCE LOVERS
Bought this for my husband as a Christmas stocking filler. It's the hottest thing he's ever had (except me lol). You only need a tiny drop to get the effect. I love that it still has some flavor. A lot of hot sauce looses its flavor, but Bertie's doesn't.

Great tasting.
Tastes is amazing. Very hot though. Heat doesn’t disappoint. Love it. This is for people not afraid of heat.

Best Scorpio Pepper Sauces ever
Omg Bertie’s Trinidad Scorpio pepper sauce is the best pepper sauce I've ever eaten from the Caribbean I have tried different ones from the island of Jamaica. It's nothing in comparison Bertie’s Trinidad Scorpio pepper sauce is indeed by so far the best pepper sauce again I have tasted and eaten from the Caribbean it reminds me of exactly how the pepper is from both my mother country and farher’s country in western Africa because that exactly how our pepper sauces are so I'm happy to get a taste that remind me of my mother and fsther’s lands. And will most certainly recommend specific Bertie’s Trinidad Scorpio pepper sauce flavor if you love and a very spicy eater or love very spicy foods. I am very happy that I came across this product big up to Bertie’s! I don't even care if it a bit pricey for the size of the bottle I like ve it and that's why I did a subscription to be delivered at the subscription time frame and will try other flavor too, but I'm sure the others flavor are for people who can't handle very very spicy pepper sauce, as an western African woman Bertie’s Trinidad Scorpio pepper sauce happens to be my sparks. So I'm very very happy and again big up and respect to Bertie’s for producing such an amazing taste of Mama Africa 😇😇😇

Not For the Faint Of Heart. Hot AF!!!
My first exposure to the Scorpion pepper was via Tobasco's Scorpion Pepper Sauce. While I like the Tobasco version, and it is very hot for Tobasco, This mops the floor with it. The taste and feel of the heat are similar, but like x 10. You can use one little drop, the size of drop you would normally be able to get out of the Tobasco jar at at time, and that can flavor and add tons of heat to a whole dish. I can eat Thai curry meals with 5 stars of spice and I can eat the Tobasco Scorpion Sauce, but this sauce tops them all. One drop is really hot, and two or three will make you sweat and feel burning in your guts (though it is a similar feeling of heat to what you get in your mouth. If you keep that it mind that it just feels hot but isn't really, it doesn't feel like regular heartburn, and like in your mouth, it seems to go away fairly quickly, even though it is intense, though you may have some cramps here and there). I have found scorpion sauce in general to be a really good one to up your tolerance to spicy peppers, if you can stand it. The more you eat it, the more your tolerance increases. It has a really delicious pepper flavor and enhances the flavor of your meals, while adding serious heat. Would recommend, but recommend small amounts at a time until you build up a tolerance. A little bit really does go a long way with this sauce. It really is hot AF.
