Handsome Wine Opener
Lovely wine opener. Looks even more handsome in person. The box that it was packaged is also very elegant. Would make a very classy present.

It does not remove the cork as it should. The Cork remains in the bottle and then has to be punched down . The opener is not assembledas shown in the illustration.

Would make a fabulous GIFT for any Oenophile
This is a beautiful wine opening and accessory kit. I mean really beautiful. It is packaged nicely and all four parts are nicely made, but the corkscrew itself is not only beautiful, it is EFFORTLESS. There are enough videos here in the review section that I don't need to show you how it's done, but suffice it to say that it makes quick work of any uncorking job. You don't need to be strong, you don't need to be coordinated and you don't need to figure anything out (though I do think it should come with instructions because unless you've used one of these before it might not be intuitive). This just works. I wish I liked wine. I don't, but I have friends and family who like it and this is fun to use so I am eager to keep the wine flowing :)The foil cutter of course works well (Its a pretty standard cutter). I haven't tried the decanter spout that oxygenates the wine (I wouldn't know the difference between oxygenated wine and non oxygenated so you might want to check another reviewer's review for that info). The vacuum cork is really a nice thing as well though I am not sure how many people would use it. Still, this box makes a great presentation and for a very very very reasonable amount of cash (forty dollars as of this writing) this would also make a fabulous gift for the wine lover or party thrower on your list. When it arrived here for review - by the way, I didn't pay for it, it was sent by the seller for the purpose of testing and review - there were several wine enthusiasts in the house and they were all coveting it. It is truly beautiful and effortless. Definitely has that "wow" factor.BOTTOM LINE: to call this a corkscrew is to minimize just how special this is. I don't mean to wax poetic about it, but I love brilliant mechanical design engineering and all the better if the design is beautiful along with being functional. This has everything AND affordability. I am really impressed
