You won’t regret buying!
I discovered Ashley recently after hearing her on Mark Grove’s podcast. Her message resonated with me, and I pre-ordered the book! I just finished reading it and I am so grateful for discovering this resource at the perfect time in my life. I am recovering from a brain injury and needing to figure out what my future career path can look like. I LOVED Ashley’s approach. Each chapter begins with a personal, fascinating story. They end with great exercises, journal prompts, and practical steps. Its not like the old school/outdated career planning books. It was jam packed with useful information and Ashley’s story is so inspiring, it will definitely give you optimism and hope about your future! Especially recommend if you believe in the importance of intuition and learning to surrender.

Part gripping memoir, part SUPER actionable roadmap!
This one comes swinging right out of the gate! I was captivated in the first few pages by Ashley's own story, her incredible challenges, and her perspective on how she navigated it all. This isn't some airy-fairy self-help book - Ashley is real and raw and weaves her story into some of the most practical and insightful advice for those of us seeking to switch to or create our dream jobs (and honestly, so much of this stuff applies to business owners and entrepreneurs too). Its an easy read full of personality and humor, and the conversational tone just seems to make the lessons and advice stick (I never felt like there was some guru waving their finger at me telling me how I'm doing it all wrong and they have the secret that will finally make me whole and complete). It is written with love and care (man she really gets what her readers are going through in the job hunt process) and it is no surprise to me why a half a million people have taken her courses on landing a job, getting promotions and raises and getting unstuck in life in general.I HIGHLY recommend this book - specifically to college students who are about to/have just graduated (I actually just recommended it to a friend for her 18 year old cousin who is struggling with what to do after high school) and for anyone who has had experience in the workplace but is feeling like their spark has been dimmed and they want to get it back!Oh and if you are on the fence, just watch either of her TEDx talks and you will see she is the real deal. Her last one especially was so powerful for me and she asks one question in particular that hit me right in my core and had me make some big life changes!

You seek and you shall find!Ashley’s ted talk came on when I researched a new course for a to be found career change. I’m in my late 30s (and I figured out that I’m just a bit older than Ashley as I got straight onto to audible to listen to her new book. )The Audio book got finished within one day - thanks to universe that it got ‘stumbled across’ on my day off , now Amazon’s hard copy book is about to arrive at my front door and I couldnt hold onto writing this review.Thank you Ashley for sharing the vulnerability and your journey with the world , I’m sure this valuable information is helping millions of people like me who’s eager to reconnect with self and seeking their you turn!

This book will transform your life for the better
When I jumped into You Turn, I thought it would be a typical career advice book… but what I got was so much more. I walked away from this book with an entirely new mindset and perspective not only on my career, but on my life. I’ll never see the world in the same way again… in a good way!Author Ashley Stahl perfectly weaves powerful stories from her own life and career into not only practical career advice, but also an improved way of thinking. Part memoir, part how-to-guide, and part self-help book, Ashley walks us through her life from childhood, through her crazy life working in the Pentagon, how she ended up as a career coach and entrepreneur, and ultimately who she is today. And she proves herself an expert storyteller. She effectively shows us how limiting beliefs that we’ve formed over the course of our lives ultimately affect our careers, financial situations, and current lives today. Ashley Stahl firmly believes that a career is supposed to capture not what we love, but who we ARE. So throughout the book, she helps us figure out not only what we’re good at, but our core nature, values, beliefs, and interests to find the career path that is truly meant for us.Aside from all of that, the author gives us the practical skills we need to land any job we want. With a series of exercises at the end of each chapter, Stahl helps us reinforce what we learned and implement these strategies into our own lives. You Turn made me laugh both laugh and cry, and it’s not very often a book does that for me. This book is probably one of the best, if not THE best, self-help books I’ve read in my entire life. I walked away feeling inspired, motivated, and clear on exactly where I want to go in both my life and career. This is a book that I couldn’t put down… I found myself up late into the night reading it because I lost track of time. It’s very rare that I can’t tear my eyes away from a book.If you hate your job, feel stuck, want to change industries, or hope to change your entire career mindset, this is the book for you. Even if you love your job and want to stay where you are, reading You Turn is still totally worth it, because it’ll crush your limiting beliefs and redefine the limits of what you believe is possible. You Turn is a great book for ANYONE to read. Obviously, I can go on about this book all day, but if there’s any book to order, this is the one. You’ll thank me later.
