perfect!
works perfect, can already tell it gets SOO much better reception than the stock antenna for my Baofeng UV-5R. It’s also great how flexible it is so it’s not damaged easily. No negatives so far. For 10 bucks, should be a no-brainer.

Seems to enhance reception range
Seems to improve reception infringe areas when I use my radio as a EMS scanner. Haven't tested it in transmit over any distance, yet...

Enhanced Range
Bought these for my Baofeng UV-5R radios. Reception and transmit range went way up over stock antenna. Enjoyed Crystal clear communication in wooded terrain at just over 2 miles. Did not test further but very happy with them.

Reviews complaing on high swr got junk test geart Duck/Antennas GOOD!!
VSWR is below 1.5 on VHF and 440 UHF.. as for a HT antenna yes want the lowest match but 2.1 is fine wont burn finals in a walkie talkie/HT . my antennas are below 1.5 on both bands!!! the others claiming over 1.7 match bet they miscalibrated or cant read a meter!! !! my Bird and MFJ same even put a counterpoise wire ( 1/4 wavelength Ground plane wire) ... still under 1.5 VSWR voltage standing wave ratio... and hitting repeaters 30 miles away with of without counterpoise.. Buy it good antenna 73

Increased my reception range.
I was going to buy a Nagoya 771 but picked these up instead and didn’t regret it.

It's an antenna.
Looks like what I wanted. Hopefully it preforms like it should.

Not as good as a dedicated 2m ham antenna
The "rubber ducky" on my HTX202, 2 meter handy developed an intermittent problem. This antenna, with an necessary SNA to BNC adapter, works "OK", but not as well as the original 2m handy antenna. Not surprising, since this is a wide band, rather than a dedicated, 2 m antenna. I also tried the antenna with a 1/4 wave clip on ground wire, but that made no noticeable difference. It is also more sensitive to orientation, with some dead spots. But the price is right!
