Defective part on these items. Past experience with Maglite was superior.
With battery inserted light will not turn off when end cap is turned. Light stays on and will not turn off.I took the end cap from my old pink Maglite Solitaire The old one always worked until the battery died this time.Even with pliers and vise grip, a salesman could not get the old one open to insert new battery. Really messed it up.However, the old end cap placed on the new pink Breast Cancer Solitaire did work to turn off the light.I would have returned this because of the defective part; but unknowingly, I did not open the package until my return time was up. Is there someone to contact to get a second end cap that would work since I ordered two of these and only have one old end cap that will work.

Works great and our little girl loves it cause it's pink
So our household has a few maglites. The larger ones that use the D cell batteries as well as the smaller ones that use the AA. These are all really old flashlights that still use the non LED lightbulbs. In recent years we got a few LED flashlights (self charging for emergencies as well as LED handlamps). LEDs are great for their brightness, energy efficiency, and long life but we wanted the traditional lightbulbs because the LEDS were hurting our girls' eyes when they accidentally looked at the light. If you have kids in your family you know all they want to do is look directly into them or shine them in your face or their sibling's faces. We have two little girls so we bought this cause it's pink and small. The older one loves it. She uses it all the time for play and when the power goes out. And it's a perfect size for her small hands. We're planning to get another one for the younger one. We're still on the original battery it came with. She's used it for many hours and it's still going strong. As with all maglites I like the candle function (where you unscrew the top).Just to be clear this uses the traditional old school lightbulb and one AAA battery.

Perfect to find the keyhole.
I bought this keychain Maglite to replace a red one that I had for over 20 years. The red one was the same Maglite, just not the pink breast cancer style. This is a great little flashlight. I have no control over the lighting outside my front door and I use it to light up the door knob to find the key hole. You can also unscrew the top of the flashlight to make it look like a candle, which is a safe alternative to using a lighter during a slow song at a concert. The only reason that my red flashlight died was that the battery exploded, which was no fault of the flashlight. I ordered this breast cancer style Maglite flashlight the same day that my red one died, and it has the same craftsmanship. Even after 20 years, Maglite is still making the same great-quality flashlight. I hope to get 20 years out of this one!

Flashlight is handy for people who do a lot of hands on stuff.
Most of the work I do is hands on and a flashlight is often needed. It is very handy having a mag lite on my key chain. I'm a straight married guy who doesn't really care what about people think, but if there are guys that are worried about buying it because it's pink, my wife seems to be happy I'm okay with having the breast cancer research ribbon on my key chain and no one gives you any crap about having a pink flashlight when you show them it's pink because it supports the breast cancer research.

Useful Little Beacon
I gave this to my wife as a stocking stuffer this Xmas. (She loves any accessory that's colored pink.)She says it's extremely helpful to have a flashlight on her keyring to find items in her purse, or to light her keys at night.Even though this one is 'old school' incandescent bulb technology, it's still made by Maglite, and a sturdy, well designed, high quality product throughout. For a just a five dollar bill, it's a bargain. I still use a twenty year-old 2 AA cell 'Mini Maglite' flashlight when I hike or backpack. They're reliable, and built to last !

Nice little Maglite
Not terribly bright (only 2 lumens--for brighter get the LED version) but nice as a gift for breast cancer survivors. It fits well on a keychain or in a purse, for those times when you just need a bit of light. Sadly, there's no LED version in pink.

Cute and Seems Well-Made, But Not Very Bright
This little Maglite flashlight has a pretty color, and I love the cause. It seems to be well-made, and the lanyard feels sturdy. The included battery is a nice plus. The light itself is just okay. It's bright enough to light up about 2-3' in front of you (rather dimly) or to light up a door lock, but it's more of a novelty than a "real" flashlight.

Great!!!
Love these little Maglites! As a midnight nurse I need good flashlights that fit in a pocket and last a long time! I use them for all types of uses (from normal assessments to just walking into dark rooms to check things without turning on overhead lights & disturbing patients yet providing enough light to see what I need to see)! Love the Breast Cancer Awareness logo on them as well!!!

Broke second time of using
Worked once then broke if it had worked it would have been OK for a little light but not built as well as a regular maglite so had to buy a bigger one to get one that worked

NOT an LED flashlight.
BEWARE, although this comes up if you search for "pink LED maglite", it is NOT an LED light. This is buried in the product listing if you look hard enough, but it should be more prominent. I did not even know anyone still made incandescent ones! Very disappointed.

Not actually led
I bought this and it’s not LED as advertised. I might have gotten a cheap Chinese knock off. Beware of knock off sellers on amazon. I only noticed after I bought a another real one and noticed a huge difference.

I wouldn't recommend
It's a lot smaller than I was expecting. It's more like a toy than a real flashlight. It doesn't throw a very good light.

Five Stars
I gave it to my wife for a gift. Now she always has a light when we are travelling!
