Mattel Monster High Frights, Camera, Action! Belle Honey Swamp Doll

Her hair is glorious. It's so soft and I'm looking forward to putting it in some puffy ponytails. While the very first thing you notice about Honey is her amazing hair, her entire design is filled with awesome little details. I love the vines going up her arms and legs and that her hands are slightly webbed. And did I mention that Honey herself is just beautiful? Of course, her shoes are absolutely fantastic. I'm not a fan of pink as a rule but these are too incredible to not love. The filming accessories are fantastic for play. The only thing I don't love about Honey is her dress. I do think the top is just darling but I dislike the black feathery stuff under the skirt. Also while I usually don't complain about how short Monster High dresses are, this one is going a bit too far. If I press the skirt flat it barely reaches past her crotch. This is definitely one of those cases whee I would have liked to get a two piece as I could imagine half a dozen outfits featuring the dress' top.

Honey Swamp is an amazing doll. Absolutely amazing. She has so many gorgeous details and such a big personality built into her design. To start with the obvious, Honey's hair is even bigger in life than it is in photos. It requires a bit of primping out of the box, but don't use the brush she comes or you'll frizz it into a giant mess! The tight curls and her giant afro are really adorable and put me in mind of the Spanish moss known for hanging off of the Bayou trees. I also love her face. Similar to Venus, she has multiple "fangs" poking out of her mouth, and a nose that is very similar to Clawdia or Howleen's in shape. She also has slitted, cat-eye style pupils. These details give her face a lot of character and contribute to her cute-as-a-button look. Her body also has unique sculpted "vines" all over. To contrast with her pale mint and teal colours, Honey wears bright pops of bubblegum pink and purple. Her shoes are particularly engaging, with their sculpted alligator teeth soles and tail heels. The only downside to her outfit is the funny "furry" trim on the hem of her skirt, which doesn't store well in the box. Along with the usual accessories of her hairbrush, stand, and diary, Honey comes with a camera and clapperboard for taking films.

This doll is really adorable and very pleasing to play with. To start off with, her skin comes i a lovely green shade. She is wearing a cute skirt with fringes at the bottom. Her top is purple to match the purple flowers in the skirt and her belt and shoes are a lovely kid friendly pink. Like all other monster high dolls she has fangs but they are subtle and not to scar. She comes with a few accessories like a camera helping her make movies and filling her dream. As an added bonus, she has a stand. Helps keep her upright when the kids are playing. My favorite two features are her hair and joints. Yes her hair is just a big head of green curls. Helps her stand out from the rest. she also has cutie headband hat in her had that just fits perfectly. As for the joints, being able to post them is just more fun. Most dolls are stiff but she can be mode by more then just the elbows and knees. This doll is amazing. Perfect for your movie creator.

I purchased this doll for my daughter's birthday because she loves the Monster High Collection. It arrived today, and I was blown away with how gorgeous the doll is. The hair looked stunning in the photograph shown on Amazon, but I didn't realize just how breathtaking the shade was until I saw it with my own eyes. And the dress with the black lace underneath is so lovely. Most of these Monster High Dolls are like a piece of artwork, and even once my child becomes too old to play with them, I'm sure she will want to keep them displayed for many years to come. I can't wait to see her face when I give this to her for her birthday :-)

I've always thought that Honey Swamp is one of the most beautiful dolls to come out of the Frights, Camera, Action! line, and finally seeing her up close has only confirmed this. The attention to detail and 'vine'-work on her body is incredible, and it's a wonderful change of pace to find a doll with such tight, kinky curls! It's a real treat to finally see a character really embody the epitome of the Southern Belle. One of my favorite aspects of her, however, is also the reason I had to give her four stars instead of five. The alligator shoes are, by far, the cutest pair of shoes I have ever seen in the Monster High doll series; however, of all the factory flaws that I might have run into, I hadn't expected to find a pair of shoes that I could not remove from a doll. In the stock photos, you can clearly see a gap along the strap around her ankle - made so that her ankle can be slid out and her foot to follow. My doll's shoes did not come with these strap gaps; they're completely solid around her ankle, thus making it impossible to remove her shoes! Honestly, considering that there's nothing wrong with her body itself, I'm inclined to keep the doll rather than return it. It'd be my luck that I'd be swapping a doll with a perfect body and flawed shoes for a doll with perfect shoes and a half-broken body. If all else fails and the shoes ever need to be removed, I can probably use a penknife to make a careful cut and sever the straps as they should be. Over all, though, the doll is an absolute delight and one that I am VERY happy to include in my collection!

PROS: Amazing details from head to toe, her hair is gorgeous and so unique, I love the pink touches here & there and the props are just the perfect finishing touches. Makeup flawless as usual, and I just adore the fact she has reptile eyes & teeth. She also came with a stand, which is always a plus when it comes to MH dolls CONS: The hair was a little flat in the back due to being in the box, and to be honest the fact she came with a brush doesn't make fully sense to me, cause I think that would damage her beautiful afro. Also the shoes are very hard to take off and the dress skirt shreds if you're not super careful with it Overall Im extremely satisfied with my purchase, if you like collecting MH dolls this might be a perfect addition to your collection

She was hard to find, but I finally added the New Orleans daughter of a swamp monster. I love her outfit and her tightly curled hair. The designers and artisans at Mattel really create a line of dolls that catch your eye, are beautifully designed and make you think you have to have them all. Each doll has a unique style, background and interest that reels anyone in. They are plain fun and I enjoy adding a new one. If you have a monster lover in your family, then this line is for them. They speak to the Goth in all.

I am so happy right now with this purchase. I used to collect dolls but now that I'm an adult I thought i lost interest in that hobby all together until I happened to watch some monster high movies with my little sister and saw this beauty and instantly I knew I had to get this doll. I mean I had to get excited-here's a beautiful doll that has hair like mine with all its kinks and coils. So now that it's arrived, in person it's even more gorgeous than I thought it would be. Absolutely love the craftsmanship and the quality of her design and outfit. Glad with this purchase
