This ink is recommended by several calligraphy instructors so I was very happy to find a reasonably priced bottle of it on Amazon. Arrived quickly and works well.

When I have bought this ink I was excited as the review says it's deep black perfect darkness on different platforms but when the ink arrived I tested the ink and the ink was not dark enough [ I felt like the ink has water in it,when I poured on a container and when I touch it,the ink was not dark on the hand nor on the paper and was not noticeable as a black ink, very shame ] IT BROKE THE TRUST OF ME š¢ā¹ļø What will I do? Am I scammed? Would you trust on yasutomo?

I normally use Faber-Castell India ink pens but wanted to give dip pens a try. Iāve had trouble finding the perfect black and this was it. The richness of this black easily compares to the pens I so love. It doesnāt seem to dry as fast as the pens but I believe itās mainly because more ink is being applied to the paper and I am just inpatient. My only two complaints is that I wish the container was different than a tall 2 oz bottle vs. being short and wide so that I can dip directly into the ink from the source vs transfer to another vessel which may cause waste. Iām new to this so if anyone has suggestions, I would love to hear them. My other concern is that it appears the bottle would have had a seal or safety tab that appeared to have been already removed prior to my opening it. The bottle was wrapped in plastic but not covering the top. Without the seal and the entire bottle not being enclosed in the plastic, this would have been a huge mess had it leaked. Very glad to have found this and hope to explore more from Yasutomo inks. The ink itself is excellent but I would have given it less stars if it wasnāt for the questionable packaging.
