Have these been used in Northern Minn where temps go below negative 40F??

I have the 12 footer and it survived a northern wisconsin winter being buried under 8 foot drifts. I also made sure it was at an decent angle so it wasn't totally full when it froze.

Can you COUPLE 2 pipes without couplings
