Wearing this daily as a 40yr old. Great protection from the sun.
Just purchased my second bottle of this sunscreen. Just turning 40, I recently got on the ball about taking care of my skin = applying sunscreen daily. I previously purchased this as a sunscreen for pool days and days out with the kiddos. Now, I use it daily as the last step of my morning skincare routine. As a 40 yr old with sensitive, combination skin, this product does not irritate or cause dryness. Pros: • No white cast • No scent/very faint scent (sometimes I think I smell it, sometimes I don’t) • Very hydrating.. so much so, that I often skip moisturizer before applying primer & makeup. I appreciate the added hydration for my dryer areas (like under the eyes) • Blends in beautifully with my tinted moisturizer/foundation • High SPF. Great sun protection Cons: • Looks/feels greasy (in my opinion) if worn alone I used to hate wearing sunscreen daily, but this one works great with my skin type and blends my makeup well. Now I never skip this step while getting ready for the day.

New Favorite!
I have always looked for a sunscreen that was moisturizing but also didn’t pill, especially around the outline of my eyebrows and face. I’ve tried a couple here and there, even really expensive ones like La Roche-Posay. Any of their sunscreens just were NOT doing it for me. I also don’t think a sunscreen should be $31 anyways. I’ve tried CeraVe’s ultra light sunscreen SPF 30 and I liked that for a bit but I feel like it still pilled around the outer parts of my face. Then for the longest time, I was using Black Girl Sunscreen Kids Sunscreen SPF 50 for body and face and I really liked that. Cheap, effective, didn’t leave a white cast, and is worth looking into. Something I would continue repurchasing if I see it. I tried the Eucerin Age Defense + Hyaluronic Acid 50 SPF and while I did love how that dried down, it was more of a satin-y finish, I don’t know how well my skin responded to it. It could have been a mixture of other skincare products I was using before and have stopped, so I really only use that on my hands. I follow Dr. Dray and Abbey Yung (love them) on YouTube and both have tested the Bondi Sands Sunscreen out and had very good feedback for it. I decided to buy it off Amazon because I couldn’t find it anywhere local (I don’t think it’s sold locally in the US because it’s an Australian brand) but I figured why not. I got their fragrance free face and body sunscreen too and it is VERY moisturizing! Felt like I was putting on a body lotion. I personally love that feeling. I think once the face sunscreen dries down a bit, it gives a beautifully glowy finish. I know not everyone loves that kind of look, but I have dry and sensitive skin and have dealt with pilling with a lot of sunscreens and I’ve had NO issues with this sunscreen. When I got it, it must have been on sale because the face sunscreen was $6.99 and that’s why I bought it, but I definitely would continue to buy it at $12.99. I’ve used Bondi Sands tanning products before so I figured their skincare/sunscreen should be good too. I was not wrong! I’ve had NO irritation, sensitivity, burning issues, no white cast at all using their sunscreens. 10/10 recommend. I do plan on wearing makeup for the first time after using this sunscreen so we will see how it holds up but I have a feeling it will be great. Definitely worth a try :)

Really Nice sunscreen but stings my eyes 🥺
It is so easy to aply. Since it is a chemical sunscreen leaves no cast and it is hydrating for dry skin and dry climate in the north east. My only problem is that once in a while it stings my eyes really bad. I am still looking for the best affordable sunscreen. Sadly this is a no for me. I will finish the bottle and probably not purchase again due to the issue with my eyes 🥺.

Greasy, but works
UPDATE: This has become my go to sunscreen even a few years later. I use a tinted mineral sunscreen on top (when going out or doing makeup) and it helps a lot. The mineral sunscreen was too drying and showing my wrinkles. Just a bit of this underneath really makes my skin glow and no cakiness from the mineral sunscreen. Plus, I love that it doesn't sting my eyes at all. If I am just at home, this is all I use. I don't like that the price went from $5.99 to around $12.00 though. I have combo skin, but use trentinoin, so my skin gets drier. I was loving Australian Gold tinted mineral sunblock for years, but now that I am older it was starting to settle into my lines, wrinkles, and dry patches. So, I found this sunblock to use after my Cerave cream and before my beloved Australian Gold. It really helps to hydrate my skim so the mineral sunscreen doesn't sit in my lines. HOWEVER, If I only use this Bondi Sands sunscreen w/o the mineral sunblock on top I look like a frying pan after bacon was cooked in it. My hair will stick to my face all day, too. It NEVER dries down. Because of this, I can't use it to reapply over my makeup either. (I use Coola for that, but it's soooo expensive.) Even with powder, I am a greasy mess. If you have oily skin STAY FAR AWAY. It should be POC friendly w/ no white cast. The price is great, but I don't know if I would re-order b/c of the greasiness. It stings my eyes a bit when I over apply there, but so does every other non-mineral sunscreen on me. I'm still on the hunt for a chemical sunscreen that won't leave me greasy or sting my eyes.
