So far so good. It does take some work to "pear" it, but not too much. I have had it a month and it has been flawless since integration. It will probably extend the time I keep my Macbook pro for about 2 years.

Do not buy if you have a partitioned hard drive.

Amazing product! Sits flush in my Macbook and adds tons of extra storage space. Read/Write speeds are as fast as I'd ever need them to be. Very pleased with my purchase, and would absolutely recommend this product to anyone looking to add some extra space to their laptop! A+++

If you see any good reviews they are from 2016 this product no longer works on the new operating system.This does not work for Mac at all and it is not Plug N Play. They do not tell you until you buy it but you have to wipe your entire Mac if you are running on High Sierra or later (which is most everyone). Then once installed Since installing it causes it to crash 6-12 times a day, losing work or data vital to my freelance job.They stopped answering my support emails and denied responding to my BBB complaint. The just disappeared and I wasted $400 plus hours and hours of time and I was stuck with this thing in my computer that was crashing it constantly and losing my freelance work which is how I support myself.This has been a nightmare situation.I got Apple Care to help me get it out and it broke my HD so I had to take it in to get it fixed.Anyone have any suggestions on how to be compensated for my money this company has become a total scam.Worst experience I have ever had with any company. They must be going out of business or else they are criminal.It's criminal either way that they still sell this.Please DO NOT BUY.

Amazing product, horrible customer service.The TarDisk product itself is one of the coolest and most useful forms of storage for Macs. I just hope you don't get a defective product and/or need to use their customer service for, well, anything. I, unfortunately, did.The super brief version is this: Since I bought a different Mac I no longer needed the specific TarDisk I already had, so I sold it to a very nice person. He had technical issues with using the TarDisk, so he contacted TarDisk customer service, and they informed them they would be happy to replace the product for free. However, once TarDisk received the unit, they informed him that it would cost over $150 to replace. He was furious, obviously, and so was I.I contacted a supervisor, and even the COO (Adam Rouhana) and CEO (Pierce Schiller) of TarDisk, and instead of responding they had a PR representative contact me instead, who tried to convince me that I was the one who made the mistake (and not them), such as telling me I didn't provide them the correct order number (when I did), I didn't call the right department (I did and left over five voicemails, none of which were returned), and I shouldn't expect them to waive their policies (when they were the one who made the mistake and/or lied to my customer).I am leaving a ridiculous amount of information out for brevity's sake, but suffice it to say the company tried to make themselves the victim, and refused to fix their mistake. I, for one, have never encountered such poor customer service from a company. I suspect either their customer service policies are horrendous, or they have an individual or individuals there ransoming devices and returns for money from unsuspecting customers (either possibility could be true). That said, I'm going to be taking additional steps to ensure they are not potentially defrauding additional customers in the future.I just wanted everyone to know since, again, the product itself is great, I just hope you don't have to interact with anyone from the company. Feel free to message me if you have any additional questions, I want everyone who purchases a TarDisk in the future to know what they're getting.

The beautiful thing about this product is that it looks like it's part of my MacBook and functions as if it has always been there. Visually it's a perfect match and once "peared," it increased my storage seamlessly. It's a great idea that utilizes my seldom-used SD card slot and I'm very pleased with the performance. You'll never know it's there yet my storage problem has been solved!
