This system of phone holder has so many options to mount your phone. Its worth the investment to have one in the car and another in the house with the pedestal mount.

Strong hold and adjustable positioning

This is my favorite phone mount. I used this in my work truck and like it so much I bought one for my wife's car too.

This new “Squeeze” clamp is an excellent addition to the Steelie product line. Over the years I’ve had several Steelie products (their magnets attached to my own case, their case with magnet integrated, vent mounts, windshield mounts, …) with the most recent being their “Freemount” clamp. Sadly after a few years of use it too failed in what apparently is the same way many other owner have had happen. The small plastic pin that held the clamp’s release arm sheared off inside the mechanism rendering the clamp useless. In need of a new mount for my new, larger iPhone 13 I found this “Squeeze” clamp. On first look this new model seems to be definite design improvement over the “Freemount”. It is large (as another reviewer stated) heavier, and feels more solid than the “Freemount”. It also is much larger but you only see the size when it is empty with no phone mounted. One design improvement is that the clamps default position is to squeeze closed VS being held open like the prev clamp. To secure your phone you squeeze the two plastic arms on the back to open the clamp arms and place your phone inside. Once your phone is secured it definitely is held quite tight and I have no fear my phone will fall out until I decide to release it. Sadly my clamp arrived (factory sealed) with a small issue. One of the two small rubber pads attached inside each clamp arm was missing (as seen in the attached pics). The clamp still functions and holds my phone well, but instead of a soft rubber pad it has hardened plastic rubbing on my phone case. I’ve called the customer service line and left a message with Nite-Ize and am waiting for a reply to see what the best course of action is to remedy this issue. If I don’t hear back I’ll prob end up returning to Amazon and ordering a replacement (once the price goes back down to what I previously paid) and hoping it doesn’t have the same issue. One other possible issue, which I am monitoring (having currently only used a few days at this point) is if the Steelie magnet/mount is strong enough to hold my new heavier phone. I feel the heavier weight of the new phone and case as well as the weight of the clamp might be a little too much and is causing the clamp to shift while driving (just hitting normal road bumps, not off-roading or anything crazy). It seems as if I’m constantly having to readjust the viewing angle. All in all an excellent upgrade to the previous clamp. ***** While update this review once I hear back from Nite-Ize or if I’m able to verify the weight/view angle issue *****

So glad they have this version. We hated having to remember to get new mounts when we switched cases or phones. This works great and has held up over time.

This set up has been the only thing I can use in my car. So far, it's been very reliable - no issues whatsoever. And the best part is that it's not specifically for one phone only meaning that anyone can be attached (as long as it fits). Also, it's not permanent. Nothing to stick on the phone or in the car.

no es lo que pensaba, el problema es que su centro de gravedad está muy abajo, lo que ocasiona que con el movimiento del auto tengas que reposicionar el teléfono constantemente. El verdadero problema está con el diseño de esfera de la base, el problema no se corregirá hasta cambiar el diseño. Buenos materiales y mejor calidad que la versión anterior, espero que dure más.
