Q: Will it pull the nails out of thin pallette wood so that you can re-use that piece of wood? Easily? How does it work?

Actually, it doesn't pull but rather it pushes. It has a shaft pushed by air and forces the air out. Place the tip of the gun over the sharp end of the nail. It will remove most nails easily. But, be careful and wear protective gear, as the strong force can cause the nail to exit hard and maybe ricochet. I love mine and highly recommend.

Q: Can this be used to remove roofing nails with wider head size?

The head size doesn't matter. You slip the "nose" of the tool, over the point of the nail and it drives it out like you're hitting the point with a hammer... only way faster and with a simple pull of the trigger.

Q: How to change o rings

It comes with an extra driver... that I haven’t had to replace. As for the O-rings, I would expect it to be the same as comparative brad nailers. By removing the four screws at the back of the head and disassembling in a similar fashion. Or take it to a reputable repair place.

No, the hammer pin extends about 1/4" out of the tip. It will easily back the nails out once removed from the studs. You will want to use a good punch and air hammer for your job.
